Le Saint-Etienne

Pros: our bus got in at 8 a.m. and they allowed us to leave our bags in a secure room until check-in time. The room was also very clean and a nice size. Cons we're that there was a window above the door that we couldn't close that connected to the hall, as well as a similar venting kind of window in the bathroom that seemed to connect to another couple's bathing area. The result was that any noise from the hall or the other bathroom were easily heard. Fortunately the hostel was generally quiet.

People debate in these review if this is a hotel or hostel. Does it matter. It’s a great place to stay, does have a common area but does not seem to attract backpacking types so common area not really used. Only negative is that there were noisy children (screaming/crying a fair amount) but not really the hostels fault.

Had a lovely stay here. It is more of a hotel than a hostel- but had a great location, next to good restaurants, banks etc and the staff could not have been more helpful!
