From the moment I stepped in, the friendly atmosphere at kyo was immediately apparent. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Rafa, the owner/manager was extremely friendly taking time to get to know us and to offer very helpful recommendations. On arrival bed was not made and contained the belongings of another person, was not cleaned by staff after this. All the beds were VERY squeaky with any small movements Bathroom was dirty with water all over the floor, cockroaches and personal belongings scattered everywhere The hostel itself was under construction with debris and materials all over the hallways 24hour security was advertised but never anyone at desk and door was left wide open frequently, dorm rooms were also never locked

10/10! Came to stay for a couple of nights and ended up staying an entire month. Staff are super friendly, the whole place is cleaned multiple times a day and the atmosphere is second to none. So many of the guests I met ended up staying for longer than they had originally intended or came back a few weeks later. With Las Canteras beach just 30s away, it is the perfect place if you're working remotely and want to go for a surf during your lunch break. Can't recommend this place enough.
