By day, you might see us surfing, painting, expanding our knowledge, fixing and build or cooking up a big delicious meal. By night, we sip tea, juice, or beer next to the exotic rock pool, while global storytellers share their adventures, lessons, and tales of our own lives with people like you.

Located in Hibberdene, 500 meters from Umzumbe Beach, Mantis and Moon Backpackers and Surf Hostel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden, and a shared lounge. Featuring a concierge service, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant, a water park, and a terrace. Providing free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking hostel features a hot tub and entertainment staff.

A continental, Full English/Irish or vegetarian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property.

The hostel offers a barbecue. The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at Mantis and Moon Backpackers and Surf Hostel.

Mantis & Moon Backpackers Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included - 120 ZAR per person per day.

Check-in at 2 pm - Check out at 10 am

Deposits are non-refundable.

By booking and confirming your stay with us you agree to our T&Cs and waiver any right to legal action against Mantis and Moon, owners & staff.

Mantis and Moon is a fully licensed establishment and No Own Alcohol is allowed.

Absolutely No Bachelor Parties.

No Pets allowed - we love them but have 6 of our own:)

We are all about balance, early rising for Surf & Yoga, Cold Beers & repeat. Therefore last rounds are at 12 pm in the bar.
