New and clean hostel about 15 minute walk from most places you want to be. There’s technically nothing wrong with the hostel it just no vibe. It feels brand new with great beds, privacy curtains and impeccably clean. Bathrooms are perfect with soap and hair dryer. Breakfast is meh but the lady is really nice. there’s no warm welcome when entering. It feels like a place for old people with the grandma garden party esthetic. The first sign you see is gratuity mandatory. Not a hostel feel

Nice, clean and quiet hotel 5 min walk from republic Square. The bathrooms are maybe the cleanest I’ve seen, with lots of showers. Beds are comfortable and all have bed blinds. Airconditioning works well for the hotter months. Large common area and good wifi, but without atmosphere of busier hostels. However the few travellers I met were friendlier compared with other hostels. Staff are nice but take a while to deal with requests, esp with HostelWorld. And no kitchen for cooking own meals
