I booked this hostel based on the good reviews, but was completely let down. There was no Larry, 0 family dinners and everyone was segregated based on language. There were small groups of French, German and Spanish speaking people. The showers and bathrooms were constantly wet due to the laundry the staff was doing allday. There were roaches everywhere. Has potential but the reviews did not match the description.

I stayed here my second week in Siargao and intended to stay only for a night until I found a private accom. I just kept extending because I had a really great time. The wifi was strong for my work, I met the most amazing people, the owner was really nice, there were friendly cats there, and the place was just homey and cozy. We would cook together, talk with hostel buds all night, play games, drink a bit. It's a cheap hostel but you get so much more than you pay. Will definitely stay here again when I go

Great place with great people, the staff are very accommodating and helpful. The shared areas are very cozy and make it easy to connect with people. The vibe is very chill, no parties or activities. The curtains in the room aren't blocking light which can be difficult sometimes.
