Our reception is open from 4pm-8pm for check in. If you believe you will be here past 8pm, it is your responsibility to contact the hostel for further instruction.

Cancellation policy: A cancellation fee equivalent to one night's stay will be charged to any reservation cancelled or modified less than 48 hours prior to check-in (before 4pm - PST). In case of a no-show booking, a fee equivalent to one night's stay will be charged to the card on file and all consecutive nights will be cancelled.

Check-in from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Check-out before 10:00 AM.

If arriving later than 8:00 PM, it is your responsibility to contact the hostel as further instructions are required. We do not offer late check-outs. A $25 fee per hour will be charged to those who disregard the check-out time. If you are off-site and unreachable, your belongings will be removed and stored.

A valid Credit Card is required to make a booking. Canadian Debit Visas are not accepted to make a booking. We reserve the right to pre-authorize your credit card before arrival for up to $100. If your card is declined, your booking is not confirmed and may be cancelled.

A valid passport or government-issued photo ID is required upon check-in and must match the name on the credit card. Pictures of ID are not accepted.
The name on the card must match the guest staying at the property. Bookings made on behalf of someone else are not accepted.

General:
No curfew.
Dorms are one bed per guest and mixed gender.
The hostel is in a building with two flights of stairs and no elevator access. Please contact us if you have questions about accessibility.
Pets are not allowed, except for registered service dogs with documentation, and only in private room bookings.

The age requirement for booking is 18 years old.
Dorm age policy: Guests must be 18+. Children aged 14–17 may stay in a shared dorm with a parent or legal guardian. Children 13 or under are only allowed if the dorm is booked privately.
The hostel is intended for travellers. Guest stays are limited to 14 days, and we may request proof of onward travel.
We reserve the right to restrict usage by locals living within 50 km of Nelson.
We retain the right to refuse accommodation to anyone at any time. If a guest or staff member feels unsafe, staff may refuse service and contact the police.

House Rules:
Guests must behave responsibly and not disturb others. Any guest compromising comfort, safety, or security will be asked to leave without refund.
There is zero tolerance for disrespect to staff.
Outside visitors are not allowed past 8:00 PM.
We are not responsible for theft or damage to property left in communal areas.
No smoking, vaping, or illegal drug use is allowed anywhere on the property. A $250 fee will be charged for violations and guests will be required to leave immediately. Burning incense or candles is not permitted.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Do not bring sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, or personal bed linens. Bedding and towels are provided.
Food is not allowed in dorms.

Large Party Bookings:
For groups of 8 or more, a 50% deposit is required.
Cancellations range from 14–30 days prior to arrival, depending on group size and stay length, regardless of how the booking was made.

Deposits & Fees:
$20 fee for unreturned room keys.
Minimum $150 cleaning fee for spills, vomit, etc.
Damage to property will be charged to the credit card on file.
$250 fee for violating the no smoking policy.
