Great place to stay!

After staying at 7 hostels in China , I’m rating this based against the other 6. This hostel is CLEAN, well set out, staff are friendly, close to food outlets, super close to metro and staff are happy to help with whatever you may need. Showers are great with change rooms connected to each shower. Beds are immaculate as per all destis. The shoe locker space is great to avoid odours in the dorms. Pool table and common area is also great. Not crazy social but I met good people and enjoyed myself .

My total stay was for around three weeks with multiple bookings. This is a summary of my overall experience with them. They have good showers , good washrooms , but they don’t know how to wash linens. Linens are supposed to be washed at 60 degree Celsius. I suffered from a lot of dust mites allergy every night I slept there. So they need to fix that. The Dryers and Washers are not of commercial grade. They are meant for home usage only. In all my other stays , they had commercial grade Dryers and Washers. Their staff said that they give only one detergent pouch per wash so i just bought my own bag of detergent pouches. Secondly their cleaning staff has better behavior and attitude than the reception staff. If you ask for coffee at 8:45 PM then they will tell you that coffee is not available. The board at the cafe clearly says 9 AM to 9 PM. Plus none of them know how to make a decent cup of coffee. Lastly they have r**** staff. They have different policies depending upon the nationality of the guest. For example they declined to keep the food inside the fridge for me whereas they allowed others to keep the food inside the fridge. When I questioned the curly hair spectacled guy then he told that they are thinking about a new policy to stop storing food in the fridge. What they sometimes don’t realize is that the food that I ordered costs more than the one day rentals at their hostel. So depending on whom you ask to keep the food in the fridge , you might get a YES or NO. Once I asked for an extra pillow and the girl at the reception made a face and said something to the other colleague in Mandarin. It was like as if I asked for her ancestral property. Lastly when they are helping a customer , one person should be good enough to resolve a query. But usually both people at desk get busy helping one person and still cant resolve a guests query on time.
