The staff was polite but very unknowledgeable about sites. The check in process could have used another worker. One man did his best to try to check people around 5pm as well as run the bar. He needed help! The staff knew little about Dachau and Neuschwanstein Castle. Also, they provide us with the wrong directions to our next hostel which was outside the city center and we luckily ran into a local who gave us clear directions. The room was nice and clean!

Not very central but easy to get to from the train station using the tram. Free wifi only works in the lobby and is really slow. No kitchen facilities. Loads of school kids there when I stayed.

They advertised wifi but it didn't work. Staff was horrible. Not helpful at all and seemed put out by any questions we had. It took us 45 minutes just to check in because the receptionist didn't program our room key twice and did not provide us with the sheets we paid for. Location was ok. Had to take the tram to get to the downtown area. Wouldn't choose to stay here again.

so many people in this hostel cuz it's famous. you should know that. this hostel is not so near the center station. but near hostel was safe. bed and bathroom, hot water, shower booth etc was good. but 1 thing...The other people in my room came in room at am1:30. i was little bit upset... it was dormitory. so tourists should keep basic etiquette. here is clean and modern but little expensive. not free wifi except hall.. no bed sheets , no free breakfast.. and not that kind staff.

This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at A&O Unfortunately we cannot book 3 years in advance inspite of us accepting the future rates and that we are ready to pay an ad-hoc amount as deposit. Refer trailing.... Dear Mr. Jhavar, thank you very much for your mail. We would be glad to help you , but unfortunately our system can not accept any bookings for 2016 , because there are not any necessary files for any booking. We are really sorry, but unfortunately is it impossible. A&O HOTEL

The rooms and the linen are clean, but the mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The hostel is huge and there a lot of people, therefore the receptionists were overextended and the guests had to wait a long time in front of the reception. The guests have to pay for wifi as well as for the use of the computers in the lobby. We had always problems with the keys for our room, because they didn't work correctly. Moreover, in the morning there were broken beer-bottles and used condoms in the corridor

The reception its a Mess during the ISPO trade fair. the Breakfast should have better buying system, you have to go to the reception to buy the ticket and when its JAM, you have to wait more than 15 min. The cleaning its ok but some times there its evidences from long nights...its not a cleaning problem but management

Our room wasn't clean. They charge you for the towels and they gave me a very small one. The wifi in the room is paid and the connection available in the hall (which is free) is very poor, you can barely use it. Skype was impossible to use. Not everyone in the staff speaks basic english. There was a lot of noise at night since we were in a room next to a bar in the 5th floor. They also charge you for sheets and the mattress was uncomfortable. I just spent 2 nights there, more'd be impossible.

The staff didn't seem to know everything and they worked slowly. I think my receptionist was new though. The room was not very sound proof and I could hear everything happening out in the hall and outside by the street. I had to pay for bed sheets and the matress sheet was not even big enough for the matress. I tried to go back to the reception desk to return it and get a new one, but there one group in front of me; after 15 minutes of waiting I just went back and made due with what I had.

This A&O hostel is not near the main station as stated on their site-page. It was roughly a 20 minute walk but easy to find. Facilities were outdated and there is a 3 euro linen charge. comfy lounge area with TV and free wifi. The staff wasn't very friendly and couldn't provide us with a city map so we went to the nearest Wombats Hostel and snagged one of their awesome city maps. The best thing about this hostel was meeting our bitchen roommate Niklaus. He was the highlight of our stay here.
