The hostel is ok. Not so far from the centre 15 minuts by walk. It s a really big hostel with a lot of rooms. There is not the atmosphere of a small hostel but if you are looking for a place to stay it s ok.
I stayed in A&O City Hackerbruecke at the beginning of the november. I was alone in a 6 person dorm room for 2 night. But still they cleaned the room every morning. The worst thing in the hostel is you cannot connect wifi when you are in your room. you need to pay 5€/day for internet access. For me this is extremely too much and extremely nonsense. About location it is just 2 or 1 stop to Munich ZOB by tram, or you can walk for 10-15min. To Hauptbahnhof less tha 10min. by tram. In sum, i sugest.
Well established hostel, friendly and knowledgable staff. good sized rooms cleaned daily. free wifi in reception only. It is a big hostel/hotel so it can get quite noisey. over all was an awesome say, highly reccomended :)
Terrible staff - unfriendly, slow, act like you owe them something. spoiled lifts. Worse staff to have interacted with. Its no surprise this hostel has a low rating. everything else was ok since i have low expectations.
This hostel was average in everyway. It was very basic as far as most things go. It wasn't the cleanest hostel i have been in, but i think that had more to do with the others in our room. It is a little far from the city center, but it is an easy walk and the tram stops right outside. We choose this hostel because it still had beds available. It wasn't the best, but it also isn't the worst.
Add 5 Euro for blankets on top of that. No kitchen and the elevator was not working well ( I waited 10 minutes and nothing happened). After reaching the hostel (quite far) you might need to climb 5 floors. The baggage place was very small and I could not put my back pack in. Internet only available in crowded ground floor and the staff were quite busy no time to chat with.
No free Wi-Fi internet in the rooms, no free bed sheets and pillowcases, beds were old and creaky.
Everything is so Perfect! Nothing to complain!
We stayed here one night for Oktoberfest so you can imagine, like everywhere else, prices for what you got we're substantially inflated. No lockers in the dorm rooms (only a tiny one at reception for items like passports) so I felt uncomfortable leaving my belongings
Pretty avarage hostel for the ridiculous price. Must have been due to the fact that Oktoberfest was going on... So I planned for it. It's a huge hostel with tons of floors and rooms. The rooms were nice and bathroom too, one morning I ran out of hot water, which for the stupid price I paid shouldn't have happened... At least give me a hot shower! The check in girl wasn't very forward, I had to bug info out of her... There was a neat little bar at the top that was pretty fun.
The hostel overall was a little dirty and the lockers were pretty small in the rooms. The rooms were pretty small as well, but the staff was excellent. I had a friend cancel last minute and they gave me a full refund. They also gave me a towel to use for free. The noise wasn't too bad considering Oktoberfest was going on. Overall a decent place if you just need a cheap place to sleep.
found this place last minute during Oktoberfest and it was still a decent price. grateful for that and the place overall was pretty nice too
I stayed in this hostel during Oktoberfest. There was really crowded and noisy. Everyday, I couldn't sleep well, but I don't care, because that was during Oktoberfest!
too expensive for their level of service or the kindness/competence of the staff. (expensive bar as well) room is not comfy enough and so the toilets. below average compared to the other hostels that i've stayed.
Stayed during Ocktoberfest. Wasn't happy after forking out 65 Euro to stay one night, that I had to pay extra for sheets. The guy who appeared to be running the place was quite rude both times I encountered him. I understand they were busy but his attitude was terrible. Had a much nicer stay in the meininger hostel which is where we spent the reminder of our time.
We stayed here for Oktoberfest, so understandably it's a busy time for all. When we arrived at 4:30pm, our room was not ready. When it finally was "ready" we had to put our own sheets on our beds
Truly awful. Booked in March for stay in Oct and they lost our booking and had to ring Hostelworld. Then they didn't believe me when I said the booking was for 6 people and said I'd only booked for 3, even when I had the confirmation email to prove it. In spite of being booked in a 6 bed dorm, they split our group in two. The bathroom was not cleaned for days on end. Incredibly rude staff who demanded beers cost more than the price list said they were taped to the fridge. Don't stay here.
disclosure: I was here the second third and fourth day of Oktoberfest, spp my reasons might have nothing to do with everyday activity. For Oktoberfest, the price for this hostel was really reasonable, the place was mopped constantly and considering the amount of really really drunk people everywhere I was amazed at the cleanliness. Easy to get to/from train station.

This is the worst hostel we have ever stayed in. It took us 5 separate visits to reception to check in. The staff had no idea what was going on. There was no hot water for showers Common area was full of tour groups so no atmosphere. The area was also covered in flies. The bathrooms were dirty and cleaners removed the floor towel which made it even more dirty. Security walked into our bedroom in the middle of the night and stood there for 5 minutes It's close to Oktoberfest but that's it
Although it was during Oktoberfest, the room was expansive compared to other hostels. There is no atmosphere at all and the hostel is situated at a 30 minutes walk from downtown. On positive element about the hostel is that the staff proved to be quite flexible with my reservation. If you are looking for a place just to sleep, this hostel might be for you.
