Academica Summer Hostel Reviews

This is part of the University's student residences that are open for visitors in the summer. The location is ideal for exploring Helsinki (close to the Rock church and other landmarks), the rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette and a table with 2 chairs and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The downside is that there is no WiFi in the rooms (just in the common room, very busy at times) and no TV (which is nice to have when you are traveling solo.

Not much room equipment

This is a great hostel! We stayed here again and stayed in the "A" Building this time--the rooms were huge! Like before, very clean hostel with great staff and good location.

Close to the city center, clean room, free sauna, and extremely nice and helpful staff - I really enjoyed my stay at Academica and will happily recommend it to others.

It is a great hostel. Especially staff was so kind that i wish i could rate better than 'excellent'. The room was also very clean.

Laundry usage time is too short. Wi-fi should be available in each room. Should screen window.

Roomy, comfortable and very clean!

Good sized, clean room - was good to have the facilities for cooking to save some money as the hostel itself is fairly expensive. However, it is a quick and easy walk to the centre of town, it felt very secure an the staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.
