We are an island hostel only a 15 minute ferry journey away from Helsinki centre. We are located in Suomenlinna sea fortress and operating in an old school building. Suomenlinna is a village-like neighbourhood, popular tourist attraction and part of Unesco World Heritage. Although our location is special, the ferries run from early morning to late evening.
We have 39 beds in eight rooms on two floors, a small guest kitchen for a light cooking and a cozy lounge area. You are able to stay in private room or shared dormitory. All rooms include bed linen. Towels are included to private rooms, and can be rented to dormitory. All rooms have shared bathrooms. Ferry pier and grocery store are located right next door.
Guest has access to a complimentary Wi-Fi, and a laundry service is available with an additional cost. Hostel also has a common area with a television, a computer and a shared customer kitchen. The customer kitchen is meant for light cooking and heating food. There are a fridge, microwave, cooktop, coffee maker, water boiler and cutlery, plates, kitchen supplies and pots. Unfortunately, pans are forbidden to use due to fire safety regulations. We offer a complimentary coffee & tea for all our guests.
A buffet breakfast can be booked for up to 24h before arrival. Price for a breakfast is 9 € for adults and 6 € for children (aged 4-10). If you add breakfast to your booking, please let us know about your possible special diets. Please ask for an extra bed in your room, if needed (10 €/bed). A baby bed is complimentary. Well behaving pets are welcome in our private rooms. We don't have allergy rooms.
