A very good hostel, the rooms could have been cleaned a little more.

Very much a high school atmosphere. Everyone already knows everyone, particularly staff- so much so it's impossible to tell who is who. If you want to party, stay a while in queenstown and make friends, this s the place for you. The hostel goes out EVERY night. DO NOT RENT THE BIKES. the brakes don't work and they're really unsafe in general. overall though- By far the most modern, BEST hostel we stayed in all over the world. People don't lock doors but there is a safe room under surveillance

Greatest hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff genuinely care about making sure you enjoy your stay, the beds are extremely comfortable, the atmosphere is fantastic, and where else will you get loaned iPads, a GoPro, bikes, all the chargers you could possibly want and Wi-Fi, all for free? Definitely recommending AQ to any of my friends going to Queenstown in the future!

Dorm door doesn't automatically lock after closing. The room has to be locked using the room key. Security of dorm really depends on fellow bunk mates to do their part for room security. Bathroom is miniscule and the light in the one in my room did not work. Had to shower in the dark in the evenings. Fridges look like a war zone. Some food left in there have taken life of its own. Clearing of unlabelled food needs to be strictly enforced. Location is unbeatable and staff are friendly.

I booked AQ for 2 weeks after my friend said I should stay there. Best decision I have made. The atmosphere and hostel itself is fantastic. After a week the staff felt more like friends. Everyone is so helpful and approachable at all times. Free wifi, calls home, booking facilities, locker rooms - you couldn't ask for more. Brett's local knowledge makes it easy to find out about places to visit and what activities to do. I can't wait to go back, missing it already. Thanks AQ for a great stay !

Brilliant hostel, lovely people, great facilities and services (bookings, laundry, all that good stuff), and you can't beat the location. Loved the events the hostel organized and always had a good time with all the awesome lovely people; easily one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! Definitely my first and only choice in queenstown!

Changed our booking to Adventure Queenstown on a last minute whim and decided it was the best decision. Was originally in for 3 nights, but extended it to 8 nights. Staff are very helpful, particularly Brett who does a great job, has terrific local knowledge and makes you feel like more than just a customer (if you return the favour and treat the hostel with respect). Feels like more of a hotel than hostel and after a week feels like home. Great people come and go. Will definitely be back.

Definitely the best hostel I stayed in during a stay to Oz and the South Island of NZ. Great location, extremely helpful staff when it came to booking trips, really all you could ever ask for in a Hostel. Free unlimited wifi, secure lockers with outlets,, the list of positives could go on forever...

Both manager and staff were very helpful in making sure we got the best value for money with activities in queenstown. The atmosphere in the hostel was fantastic, everyone was really friendly and accomodating.. from recent stay to more long termers. The manager puts on meals in a dining room 2/3 times per week which are great for bringing everyone together.. plus the food was excellent! He also helped me with everything from good places to drink to advising me about my CV! Best hostel in NZ!!

We were looking for a hostel with en-suite facilities and found AQ via Tripadvisor. Our room was all we hoped for and had great facilities, including kettle and fridge. We stayed 3 times during a fortnight trip to South Island and were very happy on each occasion.

By far the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Friendliest staff, large private showers, fully stocked kitchen, strong a/c in the rooms, comfortable beds, giant locker storage room with power outlets in the lockers! Plus everything is constantly cleaned, they have event nights, and can book any tour you want. They loan bikes for free, and there is free wifi throughout the room floors. And the location is unbeatable. I stayed a week and didn't want to leave!
