Amigos is a very nice hostel, and a good price for being on touristy Isla Cozumel. A very friendly staff, a clean pool, big kitchen with lots of appliances, and lots of good hang out areas. When I was staying at the hostel there was only 3 other people so it was very quiet and relaxing. The staff gives you a very handy map of the area with the location of ATMs, grocery stores, markets ect.

This place is great. It\'s off the main tourist strip, which is a huge plus for me. The owners are awesome and will give you a bunch of info about what to do in the area. Nice pool, even though I didn\'t get a chance to use it. The rooms are super clean and don\'t have a ton of beds in them. The people I met there were also great. Highly recommended!

Bob and the rest of the Amigos staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating! The hostel is located inside a secure complex complete with swimming pool, hammocks, clotheslines, satellite television and a vast array of boardgames and reading material. During our stay there was only one other couple at the hostel so it was quiet and peaceful - perfect if you're not amongst the hostel party crowd. Though it's a little bit of a trek from the town centre, it's well worth it! Love this place!

Location was off the beaten path but well worth the walk. We made great use of the pool, transportation services and the information Bob gave us about the city. It was very enjoyable, clean and quiet. Bob talked to us about different things to do while on Cozumel and it was really helpful to hear. There wasn't breakfast included so we bought food and stored it and cooked it at the hostel. All in all well worth it and will stay here again.

Really helpful staff - gave us a great explanation of all there is to do in Cozumel. You can also rent transport to travel round the island and snorkelling equipment through them.

I didn't think this hostel was wort the 160 pesos a night. It didn't include breakfast and it was the most expensive hostel I stayed at in Mexico. Other than that the hostel itself was nice and they give you a map at check in and explain what there is to do and see in Cozumel.

I stayed at Amigo's for a six nights, diving for 4 of those days, it was by far one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. Big dorms, big lockers, comfy bed, good water pressure, hot (ten minutes between showers to recharge the hot water though) and cold, gas stove with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. The location is great for cheap, authentic, mexican food, but a bit far (15 mins walk) from the water and tourist stuff. The hosts (Bob and Kathy?) are super helpful.

great place to meet other travellers, excellent prices. internet was a bit hit and miss but you should be out enjoying the weather and the dives, etc anyway rather than staying at the hostel on the internet

Bob is great, the place is really cool! It's just too far away from the beach and the net needs to be fixed

Couldn\'t ask for more. Excellent value for money. Superb cleanliness, wonderful kitchen and the luxury of a pool. Since most customers are well-behaving divers, it\'s blissfully peaceful to share a dorm, and meet fantastic people. Thank you for the most pleasant stay in Cozumel!

Kathy and Bob run a great hostel. It's location is a perfect distance from the busy tourist square where prices are double for basic necessities. Super affordable restaurants and shops are within a quick walking distance. If you need a bike, scooter, or car a discount can be provided for you as well as pickup to the rental agency. I was also very impressed with the well kept grounds around the garden and pool, a huge outdoor kitchen and dining/common area.

Excellent hostel in Cozumel. It is a 15 min walk from the main area and that is actually something good rather than bad (unless you wanna go shopping to Cartier and all the shops aimed at cruise tourists). Kathy looks after the garden very well and makes sure you receive a useful briefing about all the good places to go to. The market is really good for cheap and good quality mexican food!
