Absolutely loved it here, this place has so much character and everyone around the hostel (staff and other travellers) make you feel so much at home. It's like living with a big family. Rooms are nice and clean, and it's great to have a small kitchen to cook your own food in. Brekky is basic but enough. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, they well and truly went out of their way at every opportunity for me.

Hostel is right next to museum square so very central. Dont count on the bfast being much, its bread (no toaster that i could find) jam and peanut better, tea and coffee. Dont bother staying in the four bed dorm unless you know everyone is a bit small and a little awkard if you dont know the other two in the room... better to stay in the very large 12 bed dorm. Not many showers but that didnt seem to be a problem .... internet is good downstairs but i dont think you can get it on the top floor

The location is alright. It is close to the museums but that's about it. The kitchen is just four burners (bring a lighter) and a fridge with enough space. The staff is nice and knowlegable. Free WiFi and two computers by the front desk/dining room. Overall it was good just get a tram or canal pass.

There is no elevator in the hostel,u have to bring your luggage to the forth floor! And they don't allow me to put my luggage in the hostel after I check out! I think the owner is very unfriendly!

I feel Annemarie Hostel is the ideal hostel to stay if you are visiting Amsterdam alone or with a friend. The staff and guests are all friendly and it is easy to make friends if you are in a group or alone. The location is great as it has a supermarket and tram / bus junctions nearby, and you can cook / store food in the kitchen facilities. It is located in the museum / fasion sector. I recommend Annemarie to my best friends. Thanks again Annemarie.

I don't enjoy my stay in this hostel at all. The conditions of the bathroom were horrible. There is no power switch in the bathroom and the light can turn off automatically when you are still in it and will not be turned on again unless you open the door fully!!!But just imagine how come if we are taking a shower? The breakfast is not good neither. They don't even offer milk. They have no lockers, no spare room for baggage.

Remember to bring cash to pay the rest of your bookingcosts, visa is not accepted! But there's also a cashmachine around the corner, as well as a 24h supermarket, which is good. Breakfast was only untoasted toast with jam and coffee or tea until 9:30 and the common space is not very big, when the hostel is fully booked and a bit dirty. For one weekend the stay was fine, good location! The dorms should be divided in female and male, because snorring and stinky drunken men can ruin your sleep!

Great hostel, nice location... rooms are quite good and staff is amazing. Free internet and breakfast is also included and I really liked the atmosphere, you can hang out with other guests in the lobby area.

The best hostel in Amsterdam. It's really the staff that makes this place. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests' needs are met. Great location next to all the museums and away from the touristic mess near centraal station and the red light district.

Sucks that in their cancel policies they only say 3 days before. They should put the complete thing

I really like that there is kitchen available, so you can cook your meal there and don't have to spend money for restaurants. Also breakfast was including and it was a good breakfast. The receptionist (I think the owner) is very friendly and helpfu, but all of them were. One think I missed were lockers in the rooms. But nothing got lost, so in the end that's ok.

You get what you pay. The location of the hostel is great and the staff is very friendly, helping on everything. The bathrooms could be a little bit better and the rooms, well my room at least, needed more plugs. There was only one for 5 people, what make things a little bit dificult considering that we all had electronic devices!

We stayed at 4 hostels in Amsterdam during our stay this one was by far the best. The use of kitchen facilities was awesome. The location right in museum district and right across from a huge park. Not very noisy which was awesome. Staff is very nice. They do have cats so if allergic be aware. Two computers to use and printing capability. Wifi worked pretty good. Overall one of our favorite hostels since our two months of traveling and staying in hostels.

I found this hostel to be quite expensive for the service it offered. The good: -The room had a nice wallphoto of Kuala Lumpur, that was cool. -The beds are quite decent. The bad: -Unfriendly staff in my opinion. When we arrived, it seemed like a real hassle to check us in. -Breakfast was horrible: the cheapest bread you can buy with the cheapest jam and choco you can buy, that's it. -Only cash is accepted
