Great location in one of Amsterdam's busiest places to go out at night,. The rooms, and bedclothes were clean and the lounge/reception was a very good place to hang out, 10-15 minutes away from Dam Square and 20 minutes away from the airport by bus no. 197. The only bad thing was the breakfast, which consisted of sandwich bread (no toaster) with peanut butter and jam. There was also coffee, but there was not milk to go with the coffee and there was a sort of double cream instead.

Good hostel, in a good location if you like partying like us! Right in the main square of bars etc. Pretty easy to find with the directions, breakfast is the worst one we've had yet and we didn't even eat it. I wouldn't class bread with peanut butter or jam as breakfast (no toaster) especially if you only like butter on your bread! They need lockers as well, no where to store money there is just a locker room for valuables but doesn't seem very safe. Overall we had a good stay

Overall a good hostel, but you should be aware of a few things. First, the hostel is in the center of a district that is very loud and busy until sunrise, so expect it to be incredibly noisy at night. If you need to sleep, bring earplugs. Also, there are no lockers in the rooms, so you need to check your valuables at the front desk. Don't expect very comfortable beds, but the showers had lots of hot water and great pressure.

Solid hostel. Nothing incredible but nothing worth complaining about.

Not the greatest ambiance at the hostel, but staff is friendly enough.

Considering what I've paid for the bed, the facilities are quite good! I just wish they'd have a locker in the room, and some furniture to keep luggage and clothes tidy. The atmosphere was good during my visit. It is largely dependent on the guests on the particular period. But the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Kitchen was dirty, and a window was broken in the room in a cold and noisy evening

The staff was really kind and gentle. Although the hostel is situated in a busy street of Amsterdam so I couldn't sleep as it was really noise.

Hostel Leidseplein is right in the middle of a great Amsterdam night life scene. Pay in cash, as there is a fee to pay with a card. You also pay a 10Euro deposit for the key, which is returned when you check out. Security at the hostel is great! Reception desk is manned 24 hours, so they're always there if you need them. The staff are very helpful and offer a great map of Amsterdam with recommendations and directions. Breakfast is simple, as it is at most hostels, but it's free!

The staff was very friendly. They did everything to make our stay comfortable. We booked a shared room but got a private room for the same price. The location is great.

Great location. The staff was very helpful, there was some confusion about our beds and the manager came right back to straighten everything out. The stairs are pretty steep and the climb up is slightly pain in the ass. The bathroom was not the best, the shower floods and it was a little grimy. The location is perfect, right in city centre, easy walking distance to everything you could want in the city. 20 min walk max to get where you want to be in the city.

Good location and very nice staff, but unfortunately, for the rest, it is one of the worst hostel we've stayed. The bathroom was always dirty. They have a cat, and don't advertise it, which is very bad if you are allergic. The breakfast is very poor: untoasted bread with peanut butter. The hostel is very noisy.
