No hot water. No a/c or fan in the dorm. No lock on the bathroom door, odd especially in an 8 bed dorm. Weak wifi everywhere except right next to the router. Kitchenette inside the dorm room, often making the room smell strange, and adding to the room temperature.
This is a great hostel! It's located right across the street from the Port and Main Bus Terminal, which is perfect if you're catching a cruise tour or traveling by bus. The Old City is about a 35 minute walk away, but there is a city bus that stops close by which takes you there in under 10 minutes. The staff were wonderful: very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were very nice. Thank you for a great stay!
the staff are extremely helpful and nice , more then welling to give helpful advice and shoe new comers the way around. they even pointed me out to 3 beaches that where not as busy. the hostel was nice and clean beds were good. I would stay here if I was going back to dubrovnik.
The hosts are very kind. The apartments are big and clean. The shower temperature is ok. The location is great: it is very close to the coach station and the fact of being a little bit far from the centre is not bad, as you can pick a bus and you do not need to climb any stairs, which is very rare in Dubrovnik.
Such a sweet place to live! The family who run the establishment are LOVELY - truly wonderful. They took such good care of me and I was only there one night! Nothing to be improved upon!

Was a good clean establishment I would happily stay again
It's a good place, owned by a family. The mother was always really worried with the well-being of everyone. It's also really close to the port and to the bus station, so its really helpful if you arrive by bus or ferry. The infrastructure was also good. The only suggestion I would make is that they put lockers.
The hostess was amazing and very considerate. She went out of her way to make me feel at home :) There is no better place to stay!!!

Awesome apartment, really lovely owners who are so happy to help you with anything you need. Great kitchen and living space, good sized bathroom. The owner even did our washing separating all the colours and gave us a bottle of wine one night because we had people over. The place is nice and cool and has a living room with a big couch and tv. Very close to the bus station if you want to go to old town and there is lots of shops and a grocery store close by.
For 16 Euro per night you cannot expect too much. Anchi Guesthouse is located in the middle of Dubrovnik, close to the main bus terminal, but a 25 minutes walk to the old town. Minus-Points: Small rooms, the mattress was really old and worn. Quite uncomfortable. Bathroom was very basic, during night there was just cold water. Plus-Points: There are small shops, bars and bakerys around, the owner is quite nice. As Dubrovnik is a city with lots of stairs, you can avoid them by staying at Anchi.
Lovely people running the hostel. Very helpful and informative. Great location near bus station and port.
Anchi guesthouse is right next to the ferry port and only a half hour walk to old town. The hostel owner is so lovely, welcoming and very keen to help. Everything was clean, and the kitchen was decent. The only problem was that the shower flooded a little bit, but as long as you have a quick shower this isn't much of a problem. It's not a party hostel, but it's cosy like being in someone's home. If you want a night out all you have to do ISO told town.
It's a 2 minute walk to the main bus station, which offers quick and easy access to the city center with buses running every 10-15 minutes (10 minute ride into town). The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and offered tips and assistance booking a day trip. The rooms and bathrooms were adequate and offered plenty of space.
Very welcoming hostess who was always ready to help and offer whatever I needed. Very homely feeling but was lacking a place where I could keep my valuables safe (no lockers etc.). There were boxes which requires a lock (you can ask to borrow a lock), but the box itself was not secured to anything and could be easily carried away. Kitchen could have been cleaner, it is wasn't because of this, atmosphere would have scored much higher about 30 minutes of a scenic walk to the old town
Staff were extremely kind and helpful, which was great. Location was right next to bus station and ferry terminal, ideal if that's what you want, but a half hour or forty minute walk to old town. Several kitchens available, but somewhat oddly equipped, and no lockers. Still, good value and very good staff.
30aA bit far from old town but right next to the bus station and ferry port. This place is truly a guest house; the host is really nice and makes sure everything is ok. Definitely worth a stay since most hostels are at least 30€ a night!
Decent hostel that's very small and right next to the bus station and port. About a 30 minute walk to old town but not too bad. The wifi was atrocious though and didn't work most the time we were there, so if you need a connection then don't stay here. The place was quite large and had a whole separate kitchen area that was quite convenient.
Familiar tye of hostel. The lady was really really nice to us.
The couple running this hostel are great, extremely friendly and quite helpful. The wifi was a bit spotty but when we brought it up they fixed it the next day. The apartments with dorms are great, they have a kitchen and bathroom, but it lacks a main hangout area for everyone from all apartments to hang out. A bit of a walk from old town but an easy walk along the harbour. Overall a pretty good stay, I would recommend!
would reccomend for cheap, basic accomodation in Dubrovnik. I arrived by ferry and left by bus so the location was really handy as it is super close to both the port and bus station. about a 45 minute walk into old town or there are busses that take you there in 5-10 mins with the stop right by the apartment. the owner was really lovely and gave you all the information you needed. No lockers but I felt fine leaving my stuff out.
