A little off the beaten path, ie not located in Yangshuo proper but instead a short bus ride outside of town. However the location is great scenery-wise and accessible to some nearby sights like Big Banyan Tree, Moon Hill, Water Cave and bike rentals. When I came in the off-season I practically had a whole 8 bed dorm-room to myself and the staff was very welcoming.
Great hostel with a very friendly manager! My private room was more like in a hotel than in a hostel. Had a very nice day biking along the river. It would be fine however if the low season was used for giving the bikes a repair so that breaks and gears work properly again.
Friendly and helpful staff, great room given the price (100RMB, offseason). Location is quiet and peaceful while also being relatively easy to access Yangshuo. A good place to take it easy and save money if you are on an extended trip - we spent two nights in the hostel common room drinking cheap beer and watching DVDs at the invitation of JJ, one of the team there. They offer bike hire (the immediate area is great for cycling) and can arrange the typical Yangshuo tourist stuff. Liked it a lot.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the manager, J.J. was a great guy and helped us draw a map for our cycling trip and organise a rock climbing trip on the last day. The hostel is great value for money; we originally were staying in a room for 3 and were upgraded to a better room (with a balcony!) at no extra cost. Since it's a little out of the city, restaurants are limited but it is worth it for the breathtaking scenery.
Really nice and quiet place to stay, it was a little bit difficult to find but when we phoned them from the taxi they came out and met us, which was really good of them. We went during the off-season in July and it was completely deserted, so it's a good place if you just want somewhere quiet and peaceful to relax.
the heating was not working, so it was pretty cool. The Hostel is a little outside the city of Yangshou, about RMB 50 for a Taxi.
good money value and WD4 place to stay. I stayed there for 2 nights in the shared room, equipped with a bathroom. The staff are helpful and friendly. the location is fabulous and close to most of sites. Will recommend to the other traveller and will visit it again.
The cute little hostel was so wonderful stay at! It was clean and spacious, and overall quite quaint :) The environment was happy and inviting. The staff were extremely helpful, and their English is good if you need it! They had so many suggestions and resources for a fun time! Cheap and well worth it!
great quiet location, close to many sights of the place. Just rent a bike in town for 10 yuan when you arrive by bus. don't pay more than 20yuan a day for the bike. . It's quite a ride to the location, but it is convenient when you leave by bus again. Rediculously cheap and you get all round service from the staff. It just opened 4 months ago
I don't really mind about the location but your staff should clean the room everyday.. that's all..
Location is unique! Kinda hard to get to if you arrive at night. Easiest way is to take the minibus to Gaotian town in Yangshuo bus station. Its a nice break from the noise and crowds in Yangshuo. Stay here if you can!!
The hostel is great. It's very nice, but a little far from the Yangshuo City Center. Although there are many things around this hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, all young students whose English is pretty good.

I stayed in the hostel for 2 nights and i liked the people very much! The atmosphere is awesome! Thank you for the help and the smile on your faces! I enjoyed my stay!
It's a little bit out of Yangshuo, but the place is really beautifull and the staff really friendly, they also got a reading room and you can have a bath into the river! If you like nature and you want to relax it's the perfect place to do it :)

It was very difficult to find the hostel, although it is not so hidden. We don't have a chinese telephone number and some chinese people tried to help us to find the hostel by calling them, but I got the wrong number and we couldn't contact them, and nobody seemed to know this hostel. I recommend to take the minibus and stop at the rear entrance of Banyan tree and then cross the bridge over the river and immediately turn right and you will see some little indications about Arcadia hostel.
The best hostel in our 30 days in China. It is EXCELENT. We recommend 100% this hostel. Don't hesitate and go! Staff are so kind, always trying to help you, always smiling. Very nice everything. Not easy to find it, note the phone number and the taxi can call the hostel (we did that and worked perfect). Location is great: next to a river with awesome landscapes. Far away from Yanshuo downtown, but there are very cheap buses. And if you are a climber: Perfect location.
Arcadia Youth Hostel is a wonderful place in a wonderful location. I spent there two nights and I enjoyed my time. All the staff is excellent. They were available at any time and for everything. The 8 bad room was simple and comfortable and the cleanliness was okay. The kitchen was very good, I ate very good food. I recommend this hostel to everyone wants to stay in a quiet place with nice people.
