Ashoka is one of the more affordable hotels in Hong Kong and offers good value for money. The rooms are basic but clean and kept well. Location is excellent.

The HK $ 100 as security deposit was not known & I suggest that they mention it on their website about it.

The staff are so accommodating. we didn't even bother queuing on buying tickets on the known places cause they bought it for us. it's hassle-free. The location is very accessible, they even attend to our needs so quickly. I'll definitely recommended the place to my friends who'll be traveling to HK.

i think the rooms are too small for the price

Great location. Couldn't seem to get any hot water out of the shower but great value for money overall. It's the notorious Chung King Mansions so gonna be a little sketchy!

Friendly, accommodating staff at a hostel in a great location in Kowloon with all the basic facilities that you need. If you just want fuss free, simple accommodation then this place is perfect.

if you are that person like clean, no smell, big room...here might not suit you. when i first going to the room the smell it so weird and living room have some stuff. here is very a little tiny place, but very convenient just right next to the shopping mall .

Dodgy building (drunk people vomitting in the lift when we arrived, people shooting heroin in the stair case). Friendly staff. Good value for money. Very small room. Very clean compared to other guesthouses.

The hostel lies in the notoriously dirty Chungking mansions. The bathroom is very small and the shower is right over the toilet so when you shower the toilet gets soaked. The drain is just a small hole in one corner so after someone showering the bathroom is drenched and this water also leaks out in to the bedroom. The dorm I was in a 4 share was extremely small without any room. Too bee fare they clean the rooms daily. No hostel atmosphere what so ever.

Great location because they got almost every store around Chungking Mansion. Very helpful and nice staffs. The hostel is clean although the room and the bathroom was so small, but all the hotel in hong kong got small rooms because I once stayed at 3 or 4 stars hotel in family suite and the room was not as big as the usual family suite. So I think it is a good choice if you decided to press some money. Just remember to ignore 'weird' offers from the people around Chungking Mansions.
