The place was clean and it was a central location. That is the only good things I can say. It was the smallest most cramped place i came across in my 3 month trip of Asia. Bed not long enough to lie in. Cramped rooms in a high rise, a lot of men downstairs at the entrance badgering people. Felt unsafe. After a long overnight flight waited until 1.30 pm for my room and then to have a power drill echo so loud impossible to sleep. Greedy hostel cramping people in. No facilities.

The building the hostel is in is terrible, and the staff were a little rude.

this hostel is some kind of smelly, very small bed, but location is excellent! too much noise when sleeping!

Perfekter Service, nettes Personal. I love this Place and Thanks for all!!! I come back.

This place is a dump. It\'s located in a really sketchy building that feels like a urban housing project. For instance, when we walked into the building, there were three police officers standing by the gate. The hostel itself is pretty run down. The bathrooms in particular are disgusting. Thank goodness I was only staying a night, so I could forgo a shower in their facilities. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

El albergue cancelo mi reserva 15 días antes de mi viaje y luego me escribió que todo esta bien. Me toco realizar una nueva reserva con un nuevo hostal a un precio mayor.

We booked a 3-bedroom but they gave us a two-bedroom which is better because we're girls and it's safer not to share our "nights" with perhaps a man ^^

This is my third time i stay in the Ashoka combined Hostels in the same building. the team is very friendly and helpful for any requests. they have any kind of room for the budget travellers. Location is also excellent, the only pl;ace where u need patient are the lifts at peak times. i will not choose any other place, like i did for one night. will always choose ASHOKA a. AND ADVISE THIS PLACE TO ALL BUDGET TRAVELLERS PASSING VIA HONGKONG. :)

I have stayed in Ashoka Hostel twice and the staff are extremely helpful every time that I stay. If we had any problems they solved them immediately. Whenever I come back to Hong Kong I will always stay at Ashoka!

Missed a hostel atmosphere, but the place is worth the money and clean. A good place to stay in Hong Kong, compared to other overpriced places. Not a lovely place, but would go back!!

Staff are so friendly, Internet was super fast and there is heaps to eat and do in the area. However, it is a little dirty and the shower was over the toilet. It was much better service than the hong kong hostel in causeway. Stayed at both 4 nights each but I would have been happy to at Ashoka had there been availability.

Though we had received booking confirmation, on arrival we were taken down in the lift we had just waited 10 mins to go up in, across to another block & up another lift to another hostel (Angel Guest House). The man led us through the crowded maze of Chungking very quickly, which I was not happy with, traveling as I was with my 7 & 9 year old kids and all pulling suitcases. A man at the Angel sternly asked if I had paid - which was an issue for him to verify with Ashoka, not me. Angel was noisy

Location was excelent right in the center, but many other hostels are there too. It was a bit expensive cause my friends were paying just 88 HKD p.p.p.n. in same building and same sized room. Security was good, people downstairs bit anoying but you can ignore them.

Pros: -chungking building is located in a prime area of Tsim Sha Tsui - very convenient - cheap and clean Cons: - Chungking building has 3 blocks, A B C. using the same entrance, you will find block A first then 50 metres away you will find B and C respectively. At the ground floor, most shops are indians dominated. - Each block has 16 floors which is equipped with only 2 elevators. One is for odd number floor and the other is for even number. Longest queue I had to wait is 3 trips ,10mins

Our stay in Ashoka Hostel was nice. The most surprising thing is... The room is very small: It was difficult to close the door with 2 peoples and 2 heavy luggages ! Other thing: the room door look like very light. But the room is very clean, with free wifi, and TV, the location is very good. So, it\'s the most important...

I didnt get the room I booked (ensuite) but when I requested a change the staff agreed to change after one night. However they wanted to put me in some room which I didnt see before to this of course I objected. They told me to wait the next day so they could show me a room which would be free. After the agreed deadline they still told me to wait, since I already lost half a day I grew tired of waiting and did not change...Very clean, very good location.
