It wasn't Bed & Braekfast, it was just Bed. The owner shown as a cupboard in the kitchen where we could find coffee and tea to prepare in the morning. We also received a bunch of little cakes, which were left for us in the kitchen ( cost 1euro for a pack of ten in the local market). Definitely not worth the money, had better breakfasts in hostels which didn't boast they offer any food at all!

Very nice hostel close to the major attractions and shopping area of Catania. The owners were very kind and helpful and kept the place clean.

The Sveva B&B was an excellent discovery. Right next to the castle and about a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral, it is in a fantastic location. The staff were very hospitable, kind and well-organized. My personal favorite thing about this place though is the absolutely gorgeous roof terrace that is open to guests. Its a lovely space to watch the sun setting over Catania and you have the company of two lovely cats. A fantastic deal.

I stayed for one night, for some or another reason I did not have any real breakfast nor anybody to whom I could have asked. Another thing I did not appreciate: the long unique corridor favours noise if guests do not respect the consign written everywhere, asking to be silent. The location is in the centre and athough not close to the stations, there is an interurban bus stop nearby, so it is quite OK.

i'm satisfied except the fact that all the staffs including the owner can't speak English.

They gave me a double room when I'd booked a single, which was fantastic! Little noisy at times but the staff were really helpful.

We had a private room so this might not reflect the experience in the dorms, but it was amazing! We had a balcony which overlooked the castle, and we could see over the rooftops of the old town all the way to Mt Etna. We shared a bathroom and kithen with two other rooms, both were sparkling clean. The breakfast was just packets of cake, but the cafe next door does coffee and a flaky pastry filled with ricotta for 3euro so no worries about starving in the morning. We loved our stay!

A great location and big room but needs a little more effort at cleanliness

We were less than impressed. Owner showed us all facilities, including 2 kitchens, after saying we could use these facilities and having bought our groceries for the evening, we found there was no pot or pans. When we asked the owners we were told we would have to pay 5 EUROS to borrow these items and use kitchen. Also to mention we could only use the kitchen with the cats that climb all over the kitchen and drink from the water tap. Also may have received bed bug bites from this b&b.

The worstest hostel i ever visited. Bad rooms, bad breakfast and bad service.

Sveva Bed and Breakfast is a very nice place to stay. Very close to the city and in the safe neighborhood. Rooms and the bathroom are clean and the owners are very nice and helpful. On the top of the building there is a beautiful terrace with the perfect view on Catania and Etna. Everything was good and would recommend this hostel.

Great choice: clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff and a - private - balcony with a view over the city and the adjacent castello!

Clean, located on the center of the city - our room had the balcony facing the Ursino Castle :)

We stayed at Sveva B&B for two nights in a double room (30 euro) in august 2014. The room was just alright with air conditioning, towels, a double bed and a single bed. We had a balcony as well with a nice view straight on Castello Ursino. The street is really nice, but this is one of the only nice streets in Catania. If you must stay in Catania, I do recommend this hostel, however, I rather suggest to go straight to Taormina or Syracusa.

Great location, very secure building, great value for money, with the most incredible rooftop with views to the volcano, the nearby castle, and far across the city. We loved our stay here.

This is a great find if you're after a cheap stay whilst in Catania. Marco was very helpful with mount etna tours and recommending restaurants. However, the mattresses were uncomfortable and the breakfast is only a croissant and a coffee. This place also doesn't allow you to use the kitchen for anything other than breakfast so making coffee etc. Other than that, very cheap and we had a great view of a castle!

The Bed & Breakfast is in a very central location. It's very clean and you get a very nice view on the Castello. A nice bonus is the roof terrace from which you can see the volcano. Would definitely come back.

We stayed 5 days in Sveva hostel and I can say that everything was very nice. The room was very clean, the staff very kind. They cleaned the toilet on a daily basis, and the building is very clean generally. The rooms have balconies which very nice for the morning coffee, and dinner after whole day walking. The best thing is the terrace on the roof of the hostel. Amazing, with tables and chairs, and look to ETNA volcano.. perfect to enjoy with beer or vine... Generally we are very satisfied.
