Very good on the whole but could have been better.

I couldn't have been treated better, or enjoyed my stay more. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way, always delivering service with a cheerful smile, and no request seemed too difficult or to big to handle. I met some great people staying there too. I went on to stay in K's house Takayama and received no less excellent service :) Well done to K's House :)

Excellent hostel. Clean, well located, friendly and knowledgable staff, comfortable beds. I think this is nearing the perfect hostel... If I'm going back to Kyoto, I know where I'm staying!

It's not a cozy little hostel..for my taste it was too big and had a kind of cold atmosphere. Entering the common room felt like entering a high school cafeteria. But they had a roof top with some chairs which was nice and plenty of information on what to do. They also rent bikes, but I wouldn't recommend it as you are not allowed to park the bikes anywhere (besides at big parking lots) in the city. They make you pay for using the PCs.

I really enjoyed myself while staying there...Very comfy and facilities is great. The location maybe not the best but that's reasonable enough for the money you paid...Nice and very helpful staffs The only downside is there's no elevator for the 2nd building which means maybe not so convenient for traveller with heavy luggage

Great hostel. Only criticism is that it was difficult to get easy access to the facilities like the kitchen, tv etc as we found the inhouse hostel staff were often using them for long periods.

The staff were extremely helpful in all matters regarding the hostel itself and anything we wanted to do while in Kyoto, from suggesting places to helping us with transit. The Kyoto common area facilities are amazingly spacious and it was a pleasure to stay there.

Perfect location, near Kyoto Station(10 mins walk ), and bus stop. (3 mins walk) Staff are good in English, always full of energy and willing to help. Breakfast buffet was really nice (680 yen) Kitchen is big and functional, you can cook your own food here. with microwave, sugar, oil, mugs, plates, forks, chopsticks, big fridges....everything you need! I love the public space!! The only thing you need to bring is toiletries. they don't provide shampoo and conditioner
