I've stayed in dozens of hostels during my 6-month trip and K's was amongst the best - it was perfect in terms of location, super friendly and helpful staff, nice social atmosphere, clean, etc. Highly recommended.

The best hostel I have stayed in during my time in Japan. Excellent common facilities, good vibe. Make sure you check out the rooftop. Bar/cafe is also a rare feature in Japanese hostels and was excellent for a snack or some drinks with friends at the end of the night. If I could change one thing it would be that the rooms are a little on the small side but hey, it's Japan! Highly recommended.

One of the best Hostel I've ever stayed. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was well equipped and up to date with three massive fridges, and the people staying also happened to be friendly! They had bike rentals for 700 yen, and the bikes were in a good condition. Washing was 300 yen but drying was free. Tons of showers, events for meeting other travelers, the list goes on and on. Highly reccommend!

Good location only 10 mins walk from train station. Quiet area. Great and large kitchen and common room. Lovely little cafe / bar next door. Free tea and coffee provided.

The staff could speak in english that you don't have to be worried in communication. The internet needs to upgrade. It was not capable of holding so much guests in this hostel.

For two people and for the sale price, we have found a better private room. So if not very good place if you are à couple. Bathroom were not very clean and were a little smelly.

Very great hostel. Very clean. Probably the best hostel I've been in. The common area was great and quite big, and they have free tea and coffee. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. It's a bit more expensive than most hostels but well worth it for the price.

It's a nice place and reasonable price. Staff are very helpful and kind. One main problem for me is that i didn't understand the map to go to the hostel. The map looks easy and not far but I'm not good on it. It would be better if the hostelcould provide a google-look map. :) I was so happy staying there.

The hostel was very clean with a lot of great amenities. At no fault of the hostel, the atmosphere was not as friendly from the other guests as everyone kept to themselves and there was not a lot of mingling. Could be a language barrier issue but again, no fault of the hostel.

pros: good location close to main train station but bit of a hike to downtown areas and temples, extremely clean and spacious rooms and common areas, lively atmosphere, affordable compared to other options, good security, helpful and knowledgeable staff cons: poor wifi connectivity in their 2nd bldg, also no elevator makes for a bit of hassle with luggage
