K's House Kyoto was located not far from Kyoto Train Station, within walking distance. The rooms were tidy and adequate in size for a couple. The facilities were great and the cafe attached was an added bonus.

The hostel was very clean & near kyoto station. I had no issues getting to the hostel as they provided clear instructions. It's relatively near good eating places & the staff were friendly and nice enough to recommend good places. Would definitely stay at this hostel again if I am visiting kyoto! :)

The staff are very friendly and will help you make reservations and even suggest activities. The bathrooms and washrooms were cleaned regularly which is a necessity with so many people. My only issue is the closest grocery store is beside Kyoto station which is 10 to 12 minutes walking. There is Mini Stop and a Lawson close by if you just want something easy. The Lawson has some groceries but not many.

great location and great people

The location was a bit hard to get to from the station as the station is extremely big and confusing and the directions are only good if you come out of the 'main' exit. Quiet area but walking distance to many amenities, food, shopping etc. Good atmosphere as it has a bar and a nice common area. Downside is no breakfast... Very clean and comfortable. Can even take a bath!

K's Guest house was great, and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto. The bathroom and shower facilities were great, as Japanese hostels are different than those you'd be used to in SEA, if you're a backpacker.

I was most impressed with all staff and very pleased with my first stay at K'sHouse Kyoto. I left my sweater there and after notifying the staff it was promptly found and sent to me. Thanks very much to all staff at K's House Kyoto.

This is a short walk from Kyoto Station, which is an absolute plus and has some very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are a little cramped, especially if you pick the bunk in the corner, but security is good with keycard locks. Unfortunately my time there wasn't great only because one of the other roommates was the loudest snorer I've ever heard (granted, that's no real issue with the hostel itself). Regardless, it's cheap and well positioned hostel.

Would stay here again; fantastic budget option in Kyoto. Clean, nice staff, good bikes for rent.

location is so so. considering if you are dragging a huge luggage, it can be tiresome to walk from the train station to the hostel. nevertheless staff is great, friendly and helpful. I like the second floor hangout place because its spacious enough. rooms were clean and good too. however just a small tip, some of the charging sockets on the bed are not really working. can be a little frustrating. overall a good place to stay. definitely value for money. thumbs up for Kyoto k's house!

The hotel is great! The staff was very friendly and helped me and my friends with maps, bikes and finding places to eat. I loved the bar there. It was always great to have a beer and bar snacks at the end of each day. The rooms are very clean. the break rooms and tv room were also very clean. The only down side to the entire trip was the lack of washers and dryers..only three for everyone..Other than that, the place rocks..I would highly recommend staying there.

We really enjoyed our stay at K's House. For a hostel it is very quiet. It's great to rent a bike at the hostel and explore Kyoto by bike.
