Very friendly staff, which also spoke a very good english. Very helpful. Location was good, but quite a walk from the train station - especially, when you're with a lot of luggage. The hostel and its facilities looked very new, every room with keycard - perfect. The common rooms were great, spacious and beautifully decorated. Perfect stay for us in Kyoto.

Great location - close to the metro but in a nice quiet area. The map of the area and businesses was helpful too. Staff were great and lounge areas were nice to come back to in the evenings.

A very clean hostel, comfy beds and large longue area. It was an amazing hostel but did without any Japanese touches. All very friendly and had a convenient cafe next door and bike rental available as well as lots of information about places to eat and things to do :)

This is the second time we stay in Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto. It's amazing! There's a great atmosphere, even though there are shared bathrooms, they are really clean. The staff is very nice too. Highly recommended!!!

Nicest hostel I've ever stayed at... almost too nice that it loses the hostel experience. That said, this place is incredibly comfortable and clean. Staff are both professional and friendly. The bar is a good deal as well.

Great Hostel close to the station and with downtown still in walking distance. It's actually huge, so chances to meet a lot of people are good. I very much liked the very helpful and friendly staff and the chance to get a breakfast buffet fo good money if you like.

I'd recommend all the k's houses to anybody visiting Japan. I had so much fun at all of them, the staff were super helpful in figuring out how to plan a day or get places. The common room spaces were really conducive to groups forming and finding travel buddies. Whenever I visit again will definitely book at K's.

Best hostel I've stayed in, though the K's house in Tokyo is fine too but much smaller. Superb space, terrace, laundry, kitchen....clean. highly recommended. Very handy the hostel sells bus cards and always helpful to help you get around. Not far from station and bus stops...

I liked this hostel a lot, but having stayed in many others I found it a little large and in personal, a touch like university dorms. Also the location was slit lay out of the action for me having stayed in other Kyoto districts. Having said this, the hostel offers all any type of traveller could need, the staff was very helpful and freindly and the common areas were well kitted out. Cleanliness could have been better, but I think this reflects more on guests than staff.

This was a pleasant surprise for my group of three. It is in a very convenient location, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms and hallways were very clean and furnished well. The atmosphere was very much suited to English and French speakers as well. Overall, it is very good value. I will definitely consider staying here again.

Definitely the best hostel I've ever stayed so far! The hostel was very cozy, clean and tidy. I really love staying in here. Surely, I'll stay in here again if someday I comeback to Kyoto :D

The guys at Ks are the best. The room was exactly what you needed for a sightseeing holiday. Tidy and clean, nothing dodgy ever going on. But maybe that's cause it's Japan.. I even left something in one of the drawers and they were so kind to send it all back to my cousin who lives in Japan.

It was nice that you could determine how to stay in the hostel... you could be a recluse and it'd be fine, or meet up with anyone sitting there and still not bother anyone else. There's plenty of facilities and the hostel is incredibly quiet in the night which is nice.

Everything was perfect about this hostel, nice, clean with spacious common area. The only i expect from this hostel is they provide some rooms that include shower room inside since as a female moslem it's a big tough to go to bathroom with complete clothes include my hijab or hair cover.

Very helpful staff, hostel conveniently located near Kyoto station. The lockers are big, do not require lifting luggage and their opening/closing is quite silent. Power outlets are available for each bed, so no fighting over them. Will come again.
