Not evan a sope on the toiletts, realy unclean both bathrooms and all the rest of the rooms. A young backpacker staff with no managment. Sended us out on a boat trip without telling us that it would storm so waist of money on that and the hostel. The staff partyed with the guests till late at night. The only possitivs was the bus shuttle driver, really friendly and funny, and also that it was free wifi half the days. Dont recomend this to other than partying youths that don´t mind walking a bit.

Friendly, helpful staff. Unbiased advice on tours. About 500m from town but that worked for me as it meant a quiet nights sleep. If it wasn't for the staff I would have missed my boat tour!

Overall OK hostel. Free wifi is nice but it is too bad they turn it off at 7pm as this is when most people need to use it. Kitchen is fairly small with not the greatest cooking utensils. Despite these few inconveniences we would stay again.

Liked this hostel a lot, started off with two nights but extended and has been here for a week now, a bit quiet during the evenings which is a bit boring but they still have a bar with a nice bartender who serves you 3.50aud beers. The air-condition is only on during nighttime which is kind off annoying, same with wifi but during daytime. Would still recommend this place, good value for money.

Hostel was nice. Pickup from the Bus great. Not far away from the main street about 5 minutes walk. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. The only security was that you had to lock your own bedroom door. Kitchen was a bit dodgy. Staff were nice and the outside area was comfy aswell. Had to pay $6 for luggage storage, you get that in other hostels for free.

Very quiet and beautiful hostel. No party hostel like on the main road. Friendly and helpful staff!

We have travelled all around the world and i have never been spoken to as rudely as I was at this hostel. Surely the staff are there to help their customers not shout at them for asking for help with the internet? From the moment we arrived it seemed like a chore for the staff to check us in and when we asked questions about trips etc. they were very unhelpful and we had to seek advice from elsewhere. A very poor hostel I would never recommend this to any other traveller.

Stayed here for night and loved it, wish I had stayed in Airlie Beach longer. The staff are brilliant Nick, Tom (brilliant music mate) and Matt. Great atmosphere at night. They do a free pick up from the greyhound stop. Stayed in a four bed room very clean, plenty of room. Free WiFi till 7pm. Met some great people in this hostel. Well worth a visit

Great place to stay! Has absolutely everything (and more) than one would need! Staff is extremely helpful, and at night time the bar area is the place to be! With trivia and wii and champagne as a prize, it's awesome! The pool is a great place to relax, and the 7 minute walk to town isn't bad either! The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms are all very clean! Very impressed with the cleanliness

A great place with brilliant staff, especially the guy who does the quiz at night which we won twice! The only annoyance is the turning off of the wifi at 19:00! Why? People are out all day and like to be online in the evening.

Friendly staff and a unique atmosphere made Backpackers an excellent choice. I felt at home straight away. Within minutes Nico had helped me plan my week and then I could just kick back and enjoy my stay. Tom the barman is a legend.

Typical Australian Hostel. However, if you did not book your sailing trip with the hostel the owner is not very pleased and leaving your baggage until return will cost you 6 AUD pp. Washing mashine only cold and 4 AUD. 1 page printing 50 cent. On the day of your departure baggage cannot be put in the locker room except you pay 6 AUD again. Aircon switches off at 9:30 am. Therefore although the rooms are nice we felt a bit ripped off.

staff were friendly and gave great advice! relaxed place with great views just perfect location away from the noise of in town. only a 5 min lazy walk away

My best stay so far!

A bit of a walk to the main strip, but cool people, clean room, good times.

Other than being a bit out of town, this hostel was awesome. It has great staff, a pool, free wifi and its clean with character.
