Hostel Information:

Located 400 metres from the main street, on the top of a small hill, Backpackers By The Bay has awesome ocean views and a relatively quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Accommodation is available in four share rooms, twins and doubles. Linen is provided and all rooms are serviced daily. The hostel has a saltwater swimming pool which is surrounded by hammocks, sun-lounges and palm trees as well as a huge sunbaking deck. A fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery and utensils is provided, as is a laundry. The games room has internet access, a phone for imcoming calls, a fax machine, pool table and pinball machine. Each night, during 'happy hour' the staff hold social activities to help guests meet each other - these include team trivia competitions with the winners recieving a bottle of champagne. Guests arriving by coach are met at the transit centre by a courtesy bus, while off-street parking is provided for those guests arriving by car. The friendly and helpful staff look forward to meeting you!

Das Airlie Beach Backpackers By The Bay bietet eine freundliche Atmosphäre und hilfsbereites Personal, mit bequemen Betten und guter Klimaanlage. Es liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe der Bushaltestelle und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von der Stadt entfernt. Einige Gäste erwähnen jedoch, dass die Sauberkeit in den Gemeinschaftsbereichen wie Küche und Bädern verbessert werden könnte und die Unterkunft möglicherweise besser für Langzeitreisende als für Kurzaufenthalte geeignet ist.

It is a nice hostel, with lots of space to hang out and a nice backyard. Also the rooms were quite spacious. The kitchen wasn‘t the cleanest and I didn’t like the atmosphere too much.

Das Hostel ist ca. 1,5 km von Zentrum entfernt. Es waren viele Langzeitreisende dort, die Atmosphäre war nicht soo sozial. Check in und check out ging sehr unkompliziert auch außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption. Es gab ein kleines Schließfach für Wertsachen in den Zimmern. Die Zimmer waren aber klassisch mit Schlüssel abschließbar, d.h. sie müssten manuell abgeschlossen werden und es kam vor, dass das Zimmer die ganze Zeit offen war. Das Badezimmer war relativ sauber, die Küche ebenfalls. Es war dort
