Not a great place to meet people. Location is pretty dead at night. Really strict rules about noise and keeping floors dry, unreasonable considering it is a hostel with shared rooms. Not a fun place to stay.

Amazing hostel. Clean and very safe. Great place to meet people if you are travelling alone. Not a place where people stumble back drunk and loud. The staff was helpful and very friendly. 2 thumbs up!

Strategically positioned in a quiet area of Eixample, with transport stops an easy walk away.Shared toilet and shower facilities were well designed, stocked with paper and soap, and cleaned throughout the day.Nice airy common area with books and computers.Friendly and helpful staff. No elevator.Cash payment for tourist tax and key deposit. A bit of paranoia over wooden floors getting wet (so why have them in the shower room?!

I enjoyed my stay at BCG. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. Location wise it is in a good location as it is only a few streets from the Metro or the Rail Station that links to El Prat airport. Attraction wise its about a 10 minute walk from La Rambla and the house designed by Gaudi. If I returned to Barcelona then I would definately consider staying at the BCG again!

I thought this hostel was fantastic! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hostel itself is nice and clean, has a cosy, homely feel to it. I thought the location was very good. Close to many of the tourist attractions, close to the airport bus and even closer to the airport train stop (which is the cheapest way to get to the airport - I had one of the 10-trip metro card for €9.80 which is valid on the airport train too, so it cost less than 1 Euro to get to El Prat airport.)

I thought the staff were really helpful, they gave us some useful hints of where to visit and what bars to choose, while they were always open to questions. I would recommend to friends.

Unbelievable weekend visit. The staff are so very pleasant and helped us with everything we needed, from dinner recommendations, to obtaining tickets to a FCB match. The place was just a block or so from the Block of Discord, in a beautiful building with wonderful security. Definitely the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. A great place for a relaxing weekend full of fun sites in Barcelona!

This is a hostel how you would like to see them; friendly and relaxed staff that have made hospitality as a key focus, many activities organized by the staff, spotless rooms and facilities, comfi (new?) beds, fast internet, great location in the city and so on. Unless you are looking for a party hostel (which this is not!) than I can warmly recommend this place for everyone!

EXCELLENT! The best hostel I stayed in. It was really clean, big rooms, wifi, lockers etc... But the best thing was the staff that was so helpful and made you feel you like a family. They also organized dinner for everybody (very good tasting and very cheap (3€)) and an evening watching flamenco.

Very nice and friendly staff. Good location. The place has lovely inner small garden - very convinient. Rooms are clean and in good order. There are many bathrooms also very clean, though sometimes water was not as hot as I would like it to be. All in all - perfect place.

This is not a party-hostel, but nobody could ever complain about not having fun here! It's just different from the other big hostels. When you arrive at the BCG it feels like you are being welcomed by someone at their home. The place is more like an apartment where friends from all over the world meet. The dinner they organize is really great for making new friends, an oportunity to know the people who are not at the same room as you are. The staff really makes you feel welcomed!

Really great place! We were only there for 3 days but this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in! I would recommend buying some food from the market and cooking and eating it at the hostel, best kitchen ever! When im back in Barcelona I will definately stay here again

We checked in WAY before our designated check-in time and they didnt even think twice about getting us in. The amazing lady at check-in then gave us very detailed orientation of Barcelona and everywhere we should stop and eat! The suggestions allowed us the BEST food options and the most fun.

This is truly the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and our visit unforgettable. Because of the hospitality, this was one of my favorite cities to visit in Europe. They should charge twice as much as they do because the property and service was superb! I hope to come back!
