The main problem has to do with the ventilation. The whole building was not equipped with any ventilation system and the room that I stayed the windows couldn't be opened. However, the whole premises were being maintained clean in general. With a few exceptions, the staff was not kind, they didn't even say 'Good morning'. Finally, There were only 3 obsolete PCs and 2 of them were out of order. However, for approximaterly 9 pounds per night it's value for money is ok.

A very welcoming hostel. Room was spacious with own bathroom which was nice. Lovely breakfast in the morning, but the room could have been tidier.

Would recommend. Food was good and staff helpful and pleasant. But WiFi doesn't reach up to top floor, and I would have preferred to do it up in my room not down in communal area!

Chose BYH for price and was pleasantly surprised. Nice communal areas , good clean facilities, a kitchen you can use and yummy dinners served most nights! Can't fault it.

The hostel was pretty grim; it was dirty, it was loud and there was no atmosphere to the place at all. If you want an out of the way (seriously, WAY out of the way) basic place to lay your head, this'll probably do.

The hallways are covered in cobwebs with spiders in them, the shower was freezing cold and looked like it had'nt been cleaned in days, the bunk beds were held togerther by poor welds and very unsafe, the mattress are yellow and filthy. Also the staff over charged me for the room and I had to call to get a refund. Very poor place to stay and I will not go back ever!
