Rooms were extremely warm and had no fan inside to move the air around. Bunks were cheap and you could feel every move the other person on it made. Only two bathroom stalls and two showers for the whole floor. Shower stalls had very little privacy. The pub underneath the hostel was nice, but it was extremely loud until about 2am in the morning. If you planned to party every night its a good thing, but if you actually want sleep, be prepared to feel bass all night.

The hostel is in a great location for walking around the city. However, the noise from the bar downstairs is absolutely crazy loud...every night until 2am!! I read this in some reviews and didn't think it would be so bad, but it really is. There is no chance of sleep until 2.01am if you are not a party goer. Also, the room was a little small and stuffy, the lockers weren't in great condition, and the showers were almost impossible to use - so small and no where to put your things!

The hostel is outgoing and more raucous than the other Cambie Hostel on Seymour. It is a great hostel to meet other travelers, have a beer or eat downstairs. Other than that the place is old with creaky wooden floors, a couple of toilets and showers (Men's Washroom), and small kitchen/common's room. But if you like a quieter place with not much going on, Cambie on Seymour is for you -- which was my preference. Location is near Waterfront station, restaurants, and bars that make it worth it.

Super nice place with a great atmosphere but desperately needs some cleaning. I'm sure the mice in the rooms wouldn't mind either..

NOISY - The Cambie is a bar that blasts music until 2am; ear plugs don't work because you still feel the vibrations and hear the base.

Washrooms are filthy, 2 toilets 2 sinks 2 showers, not enough for the amount of ppl & no space to put your clothes/toiletries. Toilet clogged all night. The shower doors are translucent so ppl can see you naked. This hostel charges you for towels. Room smelled like sweat when we arrived but cleared up after. The hostel is right above a bar with loud music. Staff did not seem to give a damn about guests. There are 2 computers for guest use. $5 off the breakfast menu at their resto is nice.
