Everything was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Internet worked well and the bar downstairs is great to use.

I loved it! Met awesome people from all over the world as well as locals. I might not ever stay any where else in Vancouver.

Great, vibrant bar. The guy on the bar was a bit of a nob when we wanted to watch the Champions League final...he wouldn't turn on the sound for a while. That doesn't damage my opinions of the hostel, it just means that he was a tool.

I loved staying at the cambie gastown. it was a great location. the bar downstairs was really really great, and i met a lot of people without even leaving the building! we were on the second floor, and didn't have a problem with it being cold. the bar wasn't too noisy for us, but there was also a floor seperating us and we got back in late after everything was closed. the staff was super friendly, and gave us an idea of where to park our car securely. i loved it!

The Cambie is a Classic experience. Great location, good people, electric energy, great food....etc, etc, all in the heart of Vancouver. The Cambie is an experience waiting to unfold for the adventurous heart.

The Cambie is well situated in the heart of dt Vancouver. It has a great bar and restaurant downstairs, but that is also its downfall; the noise level when I tried to sleep was unacceptable. Next time I will stay at their other location in Vancouver.

an alright stay for a night or two, quite part of town, yet not too far from the center. Basic, it is what it is! It has a cool bar!

Great hostel for whom want fun without needing to go far. Besides being very lively on its own, it is located in one of the charmest and busiest areas of Vancouver. PS: not recomended for whom needs lots of silence (I didnt find the room lousy, though).

There was no place to make breakfast or a cup of tea at night, it was unusual. I think it needs to be brightened up a bit with paint. The staff were helpful and polite. Margaret Wight

Ahh the Cambie so much fun so many good times. Would definitely stay at this hostel again and its also impossible to escape the pub. The only down side was one male bathroom was being renovated at the time which was annoying to go up and down stairs and the building is starting to grow a little bit old and rickety .

you could barely call the kitchen kitchen. other than that, the room was a little bit cold so i had to be in my bed once i got in the room. other than that, the location is perfect, staff were friendly, 30 dollars a night what else you wanna ask for?

I really appreciated having the bar on the main floor of the building. That was extremely convenient.

overall gastown cambie was great because it is a close walk to everything! we did not have to get a cab at all while we stayed there. only concern was that i think there was a dead rat in the bathroom wall ...not cool but we were rarely in the room so we just lived with it for a couple of days.

Although the hostel has locks on front door and to all floors and rooms, unfortunately, the area far from being secure. There are homeless people everywhere around Cambie/Hasting streets, peaceful most of the time but begging for money, drunk & following you occasionally. Coming back in the dark is quite an adventure. Bathrooms (on the floor) and kitchen were small and very inconvinient. I was on the first floor, it might be different elsewhere. I heard some rooms have own bathrooms, ours didn't

stayed for 6nights awesome location few minutes walk from Waterfront skytrain and seabus. if you like to sleep perhaps request the 2nd floor as it can be a bit noisy with the pub on the ground floor! very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast in the cafe right next door, very clean bedrooms and bathrooms. limited kitchen space with not much fridge room but tended to eat outside the hostel anyways. the only other minor gripe was the lack of plugs in our room. but they fixed the squeeky door yey!

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I had to sleep in a top bunk which is no one\'s favorite thing to do but it was a double bed so I didn\'t even mind that. The place was very clean and the pub downstairs was lively and had great food served until past midnight (and very cheap beer). The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Could not have asked for more from this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sinks/Showers seemed old and worn. Our bathroom did not have a fan, and no window. It had mold growing on the roof.
