Casa Bellavista was a great way to spend my short stay in Bogota. The family in charge of the hostel makes you feel right at home. The location is excellent and you're able to walk to many of the areas attractions such as Monserrate, the Gold Museum, Plaza Bolivar, and my personal favorite Bogota Bike Tours (I highly recommend you check them out). Other travelers were friendly and respectful. Not the party hostel, so if that is what you are looking for try somewhere else. Overall great stay!

Great hostel. Can there by a wood panel be installed on the bathroom window in the 6-bed ensuite room?
We had an incredible experience at Hostal Bellavista. The staff was extremely hospitable, they called cabs for us and made sure our belongings were safe when we traved across the country. The bedrooms were also super cool and we had one of the best breakfasts there!
Great place to meet people of you're traveling alone.
Generally good place for meeting other travellers - small breakfast included, good Wifi and Internet as well lockers in the room. But dorm next to reception and living room very loud if you need some rest from your trip.
Really enjoyed Bella Vista Hostel. Really close to a lot of cool tours and places to eat. Also a close walk to Montserrat! Would stay here again!
Couldn't really ask for a better hostel. Great service , friendly people , good area. I didn’t really find a good place to go out in the neighbourhood which is a shame , but not the hostels fault. Would definitely recommend it .
Everything was wonderful, it felt like a home. Every morning, there was a hearty breakfast. The staff were friendly but most do not speak English. It has a great location, yet hard to find when you first arrive.
Very good family run hostel. Small in size, but that can be pretty good sometimes.
Great hostel, ideally located in the heart of la Candelaria. Good atmosphere and super friendly staff: the owner is the most helpful person I've ever met working in a hostel, really going out of his way to make yr stay as good as possible. The rooms are clean and nice, and there s a real feeling of a family run place, and that's because it is! Would go back there without any hesitation.
Great stay here! Good vibe and beaut setting
Great place w very friendly and attentive staff; never felt like I had to search for help or answers to questions. There was also good energy from other travelers to share stories and ideas. The only feedback would be that some of the walls are very thin so noise can travel but the location is ideal and was a good value - would stay again.
Loved this place. The owners are so kind and helpful. They make you breakfast in the morning, and the kitchen is clean and available for personal use. I felt very safe in the hostel and the people I met were awesome. The only down side of the place is that it is right next to a main square and so it can be very loud at night, so bring ear plugs!! I didn't sleep well, but despite that I would still go back, I felt very welcomed, safe and happy there. Definitely worth staying for a few nights.

A lovely family run hostel with a great free breakfast. We met some great people here but wouldnt say it is the most social hostel. The location is good but a bit dodge at night. Staff were lovely!
Lovely hostel. Staff were lovely and friendly. Very clean. Showers were hot and powerful. Breakfast was nice. When I was there it was quite quiet. But it is nice. I would recommend it if you are planning on going to Bogota

Located in Candelera neighborhood, a kind of bohemian. At night better walk with someone . The hostel is all right, breakfast was ok, and the owners were very friendly.
Its better if you check the reservation before going there, my friend arrived there at 11 pm and she has no room even with the screen shot of the reservation.
PERFECT LOCATION Beautiful family, they can book anything for you and help you with anything, they know everything The mum makes a great and varied breakfast The main common area creates friendships and good times, not a party hostel but a really social hostel Only thing is if you are in the downstairs room it is noisy after 8am but hey that's hostel life
Had a great experience at Casa Bellavista. I stayed for 5 nights in a 10 bed dorm. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and clean sheets every day. Met good people, drank cheap beer they sell at the front desk. It's very low key yet sociable, the curfew for noise is 11 which was never enforced but followed respectfully by guests. In a really cool antique part of La Calendaria neighborhood. Not great for nightlife, but good restaurants and chill bars nearby.
