Clean hostel in central backpackers district. Very friendly and security conscious staff/family. It's in a lively walkway which has a lot of bars/clubs which can be very noisey at the weekends when I stayed. The communal area is outside the rooms & dorms which when a group come back and start talking wakes everyone up. As previous reviews say the family make no attempt to keep people quiet or have some rules like other hostels manage to do.
Great hostel. was nice clean, and great location. The family was really nice.

Really nice staff, but they speak only a little bit english. Great location and one of the most clean place i have been in.
Nice quiet hostel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Confortable beds.
Good hostel, met some great people here! Would recommend it.
Casa Bellavista is in a great location in the La Candaleria district of Bogota. One thing to know is that it is down a narrow lane that cars can't drive through. It is a family run hostel. Only the daughter (I can't remember her name) has a good bit of english, the rest only have a little. The hostel itself is clean and quiet, its not a party hostel. It is very colonial and the walls are not meant to be soundproof and they are not by any means so bring ear plugs.
Great hostel run by a lovely family that make you feel really at home and will do anything to help. I'ts not too big, not too small and there's a great atmosphere. I'd definitely go back.
The main socializing area is right outside one of the dorms, and the walls don't even go all the way up, that is to say it's just a glorified flimsy partition. So when people are drinking and talking and laughing, lying in bed (even with earplugs) in the dorm you feel like you're lying on the coffee table in the middle of their conversations. SO loud. impossible to sleep until after the crowds have dispersed for the night, and staff did nothing to keep it quiet when it got late.
Great location right off a lovely plaza for going out in the evening and right in the heart of the Candelaria area. It was a bit odd as we had booked a private room for the two of us and were given a whole 6 person dorm to ourselves! The family who run the place were very nice and helpful.
LOVED this hostel! Was the final place I stayed in my 4months around South America and was definitely one of the best places I stayed. The people were so warm and welcoming, I felt like one of the family here. Great breakfast, comfy beds, hot water, lots of help with tours and good wifi, what else do you need! This isn't the place to go of you want to go to bed at 9pm as noise travels easily but it's the best if you want to meet great people and really enjoy all that bogota has to offer.
The couple running the hostel are extremely nice. and I Heard good things about them (how heloful they were in going beyond their job requirements) in heloing people. Some people overpaid the taxi by mistake and they called the taxi company and got the money back. The hostel ownere also went on a hike with me to the top of the Monserrate because I wanted to go hiking. I have nothing but good things to say about the couple (and their two kids whi also live in the hostel.
Casa Bellavista is a small hostel in the Candelaria area of Bogota. It is run by a very nice family who make sure all your needs are met while you are there. The atmosphere while I was there was great and we went in groups on tours, to dinner and to party. Great time at Casa Bellevista, booked for 3 nights and stayed for 4, would have stayed longer but they were booked.
I loved this hostel! Very friendly and a great place to meet people especially if you are travelling alone. It is based right in the centre of La Candalaria district where there are lots of bars restaurants and shops. The staff are lovely (it is family run) and make breakfast freshly for you : ) the beds are comfy and the dorm is more spacious than other hostels in the area.
Excelent hostel! The owners are so lovely and helpful. As it is a small hostel, you can make really good friends there!

Well-located right in the middle of La Candelaria, this hostel is exceptional for the wonderful family that runs it, and for the easy, laid-back, fun atmosphere. If you get the chance, stay here!
Great hostel with the friendliest staff. They will actually walk you to where you asked directions for. Candelaria is a really cool area of Bogota. Lots of great cheap food nearby. Lots of cafes and panaderias as well. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is great and delicious. Really cool sunroom / hangout area.
Loved staying at this hostel! The family that runs it is absolutely wonderful. The breakfasts are great. It definitely felt like a home away from home. My friend and I stayed here twice we liked it so much. Thank you Casa Bellavista!

Such a lovely family run place. Very fun and easy to meet travellers. Great breakfast and plenty of activities organised here
This was the perfect place to stay to round out my 3 months traveling around South America. I had heard this place was friendly and social enough, without being a party hostel, and this was the case. The family is incredible - most helpful and friendly. The hostel is smaller and more intimate, ensuring interaction amongst guests, and the beds and rooms are extremely comfortable. Located in the heart of Candelaria, it's a short walk to the action and to main Bogota transportation. Excellent.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the family that runs this hostel. They are warm and caring. The facilities were great and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
