Absolutely awesome hostel with so much going for it. The common areas are great and the dinners are fantastic. Good food and great entertainment! We had flamenco one night, mimes another, and in general the atmosphere was excellent! The only down side was the room I had (212) had broken airconditioning which is fine but opening the windows to an interior corridor that smelt of sewage was quite off-putting. The staff did try to fix it but couldn't so they gave me a small fan which helped some...

Fantastic hostel- it was more like staying in a boutique hotel! Great terrace and lounge space and breakfast was good for a hostel. Plenty of bathrooms and whilst I didn't cook the kitchen lookes decent for those on tight budgets who may want to cook for themselves. The only slight downside was it was around a 20 minute walk from las ramblas and the gothic quarter that said its next to a subway station (cheap to guse)

A little bit too dusty under my bed. Otherwise perfectly cleaned room before my arrival.

The staff is very helpful. Internet is very fast! Free breakfast is delicious, and it is within walking distance of Las Ramblas. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a great first hostel experience! The location is so cool right on the Passig de Gracia, but that contributed to a lot of noise outside the room but nothing can be done about that. My one complaint was that there were not clearly marked shower/bathroom areas. I had a hard time finding a shower in the mornings. Also the place was under construction, but a suggestion is to add more either surface area to put things, or more hooks to hang bags with especially in the bathrooms!

LOVE this hostel. The staff are very nice and helpful, Gerda and Johnny are amazing and take you out to bars and clubs. The kitchen facilities are unreal, the breakfast is great and open until 12 and you can get tea and coffee until 12 am! Rooms and bathrooms are clean. The hostel was under construction so we missed out on the dinners they make on Saturdays but when that's up and going again it will be even more amazing! Stay here!!!!!

I arrived at 10pm to be told the hostel was under renovation and that most of the rooms had no running water and electricity. I was transfered to a hostel that was very good but not in the area I wanted to stay in. Needless to say I was none too pleased especially as I had emailed the previous week to confirm my booking. By lying to me at this point they took away the opportunity for me to choose where I wanted to stay. This was my biggest problem with the situation. Same price too, no comp.

I liked a lot this hostel. I can reccomend it to every young person travelling with backpacks. I liked the structure, the room was clean, the bathrooms and shower rooms were clean and ok, and common areas were great. I loved the beds, really confortable. And the place were the hostel stays is perfect, in a perfect city like Barcelona! Enjoy!

There was renovation happening so it was noisy in the day and one night was kept awake by noisy guests.

Although I had booked months in advance there was no dorm for us when we arrived so we got bumped to another place, something about technical problems... So good luck!

Everything was good, with a minor comment. I stayed at Room 201, and the doorlock didn't lock easily. It's electronic access, which makes you expect that when you leave, it will automatically lock. Unfortunately no. The door doesn't fully swing back, and so it can sit there looking as if it is locked, but you can easily push the door and it will open. I recommend a little repair. Otherwise, the place rocks; best recommended for travelers wanting more peace and quiet than partying.

There was an extensive long wait to check in and get to my room. There was a blood stain on the pillow provided and it was very hot in the room while sleeping. The front desk check out girl was rude when I was checking out a little past ten oclock and was very unhelpful giving directions to the aerobus so I could get to the airport. I would not recommend this facility I had a poor experience.

The Hostel is in a great location in Barcelona, in a walking distance of the main visit points in Barcelona. Also very convenient to take the subway. The room I got it was great, very confortable and very clean. The staff was helpful and fiendly. If you are going to Barcelona I definetly recommend thi Hostel, its a little expensive but it worst it.

The old elevator is really nice too!!
