Thank you for nice hostel! Loved the location and how clean there was. Only thing I felt bad was some visitors night behaviour. Door were shut very loudly and sleeping was so and so. But maybe sometimes I'll come back! Thanks again!

Very pleasant place to stay - excellent location right in the heart of Gamla Stan. I was in a 4-bed dorm which was tiny (and would've been quite a squeeze if we didn't all have small weekend bags) but I had everything I needed - the beds were comfy and clean, the bathrooms were very clean, and the hostel was quiet at night so I got a good night's sleep after a day spent sight-seeing. Would definitely stay again.

perfect located in the centre of the old town Gamla stan. very cute and clean hostel, large rooms with enough space for suitcases (especially in rooms with 14 persons). friendly and helpful staff. room to sit together, which is nice for the evenings. below the hostel there is a little cafe with delicious sweets, which is also a good opportunity to have breakfast (for guests it's cheaper). i would recommend it!!!! it's worth the price

This is a lovely quite small hostel with an excellent location. Clean rooms, good vibe and nice diversity in visitors, supercentral in the city.

As a late-comer I would have appreciated the possibility to buy som snacks. On the other I appreciated to so easily get my hands om a town-map.

Very nice hostel, right in the middle for the old town. Very convenient to visit the city. Not the cheapest but easily explained by its services and its situation. No double bedroom only bad point.

The Castanea Old Town hostel is perfect for staying when visiting Stockholm. It's located right in the centre of the Old Town, so almost every distance can be walked. The hostel itself is clean, one of the cheapest compared to other hostilities and the staff is SO friendly! The girl at the reception took her time to explain everything to us and helped wherever she could. I'd recommend this location to everybody!

Castanea is a great and friendly hostel for all ages and all types of travelers. I like that. In fact, it's one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. And plenty of space in the dorm as well. I like that too. In fact, I like it so much that I am afraid to recommend it to others... then it might be full-booked the next time I want to stay there!

There was very nice personnel and comfortable to stay. But if a code number changes it would good to get information for exable via text message.

A very friendly, homely hostel right in the centre of the old town. We really enjoyed our stay and would reccommend it.

Interiors are Swedish style and it's so cute. I felt very comfortable. Visiters keep the reglation, so there is calm and safe.

The hostel is clean with a nice character and the location is just fantastic - less than 5 min walk from Gamla Stan metro stop. Really enjoyed my stay there. Though the shower sometimes ran out of hot water in the morning.

The Castanea Old Town Hostel is by far one of the best Hostels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are clean, bright and nicely decorated. The staff is very kind and always willing to help and share some inside information about Stockholm. In Germany we’d say: Das Hostel hat Herz! I had slight problems with the temperature regulation of the shows on the lower floor but that’s about all I can complain about.

the only turn down is that the wifi speed is slow during my stay

Nice place, great location. Dorm option is the cheapest for such a location in the old town. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hostel is very clean.
