The only thing that would improve the experience is clearer directions on how to find the hostel from the bus stop.

We only stayed one night here as we were traveling on from Changsha to Zhangjiajie. However it was easy to find and the staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe other rooms had western toilets, but ours didn't and that would be my only complaint. We don't mind squatters during the day, but do like a real toilet when we go home at night! Besides that we would have been glad to stay longer at this place.

The place was great! Right near the National Museum but not much else around the neighborhood.

Guess the location isn't bad, but I could barely find any decent restaurant nearby, and the hostel doesn't provide food (maybe it was late when I got there, 8pm). The guy in the front desk was friendly, but just bussiness friendiness. The room was quite clean though.

we enjoyed our stay at the hostel. it was not too far from train station, though taxi drivers had trouble finding it. it was pretty clean, with heating and hot water (in morning). ideal if you just need somewhere to sleep and leave your bags while you go sightseeing. staff were friendly, let us check-in after midnight.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Clean and organized facilities. Comfortable bed. Impressed. However, I would recommend the hostel remind customers upon check-in about the shower times. They cut off water certain times during the day. I tried to take a shower upon waking in the morning and didn't know what was happening because we arrived at night and I hadn't seen the sign. Other than not being able to take a shower, it was a wonderful stay.

Taxi was 50RMB from Changsha South train station and 60RMB for my friend from Changsha railway station! On arrival, hostel said the Changsha South fare was reasonable. This should be clearly stated on hostel world because it's misleading to say a taxi to the hostel costs 15RMB - that's if you're lucky. The young guy said 'he never even checks or edits this website'. Well, they should. Location not very central but everything else was great - modern, clean, relaxing, cute pets and helpful staff.
