About

We are a youth sustainable hostel, where everybody feels welcome. Our activities provide the perfect situation to meet other travelers, we are located in the guest's favorite part of Santiago, and solo travelers particularly like this location, according to independent reviews and travel sites.
Free drink (Chilean pisco sour) every Monday at dinner time, free pasta and pesto dinner with a glass of wine on Wednesday, and every Friday we host a traditional barbecue with meat, salads and local wine and beer, upon a surcharge.
Our interest is a sustainable world, and we have a sustainability certification from the Chilean government for our efforts for less energy consumption, recycling, and respect for the workers and the community. The hostel was founded by two college mates who like to travel, and now it´s mostly run by a young international staff. Currently, they are from Haiti, Brasil, USA and Chile, working here in a really friendly atmosphere. Sustainability, understanding, and no discrimination are part of our most important values.
We arrange weekly activities for the guests, guided by the staff, like free drinks in a bar on Monday, free entrance to the biggest party for foreigner students on Wednesday, and we go to a club on Friday night.

Staff were helpful & friendly which was the main perk, bunk beds were very rickety and moved a lot, nowhere to charge your phone when you’re in bed (or at least on top bunk anyway), kitchen is across the road which isn’t a massive issue but should probably be made clear when booking, not much of a vibe in the hostel, seems to be in a good location near the metros & nice cafes ! Nice staff but wouldn’t stay again

I don’t as both thrilled with Aji which was surprising because it is connected with la Casa Roja which is a great hostel. We stayed in the grey building and there are no locks on entry or rooms so anyone could come in. No AC in our room and just a bit dirty. Location is fantastic. Would have stayed longer if place was in better care.
