Thank you for a wonderful stay. I wish I could have stayed longer than a night. You were very friendly and your grand daughter was very cute. I will recommend your ryokan to all my friends.] ありがとうございます

This is a lovely hostel in traditional japanese style. Close to Nagano station, and close to a lot of wonderful sushi restaurants. The couple that owns the ryokan took care of us so well that they made it feel like home. I miss the place!

VERY CLEAN, BIG ROOMS, QUIET, EXCELLENT POSITION, HELPFUL STAFF. REALLY UNIQUE FOR HIS INTERIORS DISTRIBUTION AND WONDERFUL WOODDEN STAIRS. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, UNFORGETTABLE AMONG THE ONES I SLEPT IN JAPAN.

the couple that runs this very authentic ryokan can't speak much english, but they are genuinly friendly. They clearly enjoy their job. the place is very authentic, the rooms are nice and clean, and we loved the bath next to the shower. We came to Nagano to relax between Kyoto and Tokio...and this place surely helped. You won't meet that many backpackers (or other young travellers), but besides that I would recommend it to anyone.

The older couple who own this place are very nice, but there was a major language barrier. Don't let that stop you from booking - the Tourist Info Office at Nagano JR stn. can provide any info you need. Not a great place for a single traveller...better for couples. Great location. Only an easy 20 min. walk from JR stn.

There`s a 10pm curfew. But if you wanna wake up early to go to the 5:30am service at Zenkoji (which I highly recommend), just mention it and they`ll make sure the door is open for you to leave in the morning.

Very friendly and helpful staff who welcomed us with a smile, even though we were early and provided us with usefuil information about events. Very convenient location to see the Temple and close to shops and a good range of restaurants. The building has lots of character, good sized rooms and comfortable futons. Would definitely stay again.
