They offer tons of little extras, such as free ice skate rental in the winter and a free evening sauna. There's also in heated floors in the showers, Mac computers, free pasta, security codes on all doors and a TV displaying upcoming flights from the airport. Hostelworld guests have praised the attentive staff and their weekly specials, including meatball dinners, a Viking Sauna tour, walking tours and a BBQ. We like their 'no shoes' policy!

We've got free high-speed internet on eight computers and free Wi-Fi in all guestrooms! There's free pasta (bring your own sauce) a free evening sauna (the ultimate Scandinavian experience) a tandem bike you can borrow for two hours, and free ice skates in the winter!
City Backpackers is the base camp for the Stockholm explorer. If you like meeting new people, you'll have the time of your life here.
The location is the best possible in the city centre - safe and quiet, although only a 500-metre walk from the central railway station and bus terminal. Most of the city's sights, including the Old Town, can be found within walking distance, and the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, is just around the corner.
You can stay in a single or twin room, or a dorm with three, four, five, six, eight, eleven or 12 beds. Female dorms are provided. We also have two apartments/studios for up to six people with private bathroom, shower and kitchen.
City Backpackers is designed to be a great meeting place, where you are guaranteed to meet and hang out with other travellers from all over the world if you want to. We have several common areas where you can hang out and meet other travellers: a large, fully-equipped guest kitchen and a cosy breakfast café, where we also teach traditional Swedish cooking couple of evenings every week.
Our staff takes turns showing Stockholm to our guests. All year we arrange tours and adventures, such as guided bike rides in the summer and our awesome Viking Sauna Tour in winter.
When you want to relax there's a hot sauna and lounge areas with satellite TV, daily newspapers and a book exchange available. You can also borrow a DVD with some of the best ever Swedish films, with English subtitles. There's also a nice courtyard with comfy sofas at your disposal. Smoking is allowed in the yard, but nowhere else.
City Backpackers has an environmentally friendly approach. To avoid unnecessary laundry we encourage our guests to bring their own bed linen, although you can rent sheets from us should you want to. We also practice waste recycling, use electricity from renewable sources, use energy efficient whiteware and light bulbs, and have an overall environmental policy. We love our planet and want to save it!
City Backpackers is open 365 days a year and has no curfew. No hostel membership is needed.

What disturbed me about the hostel is that most of the dorms, the common room and the kitchen are situated in the basement and don't have windows. It also lacks atmosphere and vibe. The reception area is pretty cool, but the other rooms are rather plain. On the other hand it is very clean and security is at a high level.

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
City Backpackers is open 24 hours with no curfew.
Reception opening hours:
08.00 - 24.00 (8am - midnight).
If you're planning on arriving after 22.00 (10pm) please contact reception in advance, to arrange late arrival. You will need a door code to gain entry.
Note: Sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers are a must-have and in case you do not bring your own, you will have to rent them for 50 SEK. If you bring a sleeping bag, you will need to rent a sheet and a pillow case for 25 SEK or - of course - bring your own.
For your security there are lockers both inside and outside the rooms (bring a padlock or buy one for 30 SEK in the reception). Before you check in or after you have checked out you can keep your luggage in our luggage room.

Please note that should you need to, you should cancel a booking the day before arrival (minimum 24 hours in advance). If you don't, the first night will be charged.
