What a brilliant hostel. Excellent location, great staff and the sauna tour was amazing. Free pasta was a great touch. Will be back! Great value from money!

Great hostel setup. Only thing lacking was breakfast, it lacked variety with only one type of cereal and bread roll provided.

Good hostel, lots of places to relax, private and public shower facilities available, strong wifi throughout the entire hostel. Good kitchen available, great location just a few mins away from the central train station, overall great place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay, friendly staff and involved management. I can highly recommend City Back Packers as the place to stay in Stokholm.

This was the best hostel we have stayed at by far. The hostel was extremely clean, with the common areas cleaned at least once per day. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was pretty good. It was about a 10 minute walk to a grocery store, and less than that to get to the city center. There were also private showers and WC, Mac computers and a spacious kitchen. Awesome!

The booking was made wrongly since we (1+1) paid for a 6 bedroom ensuite but ended up 10 people sleeping in the room. It was too crowded for one ensuite and the squaremeters in the room. The door to our room Ornö, didnt close by itself and that was a security risk.

I was throughly impressed by the security codes for every door. I felt very safe and comfortable. The lounging area was awesome and the kitchen was a great place to make some pasta :-) I had a fabulous time!

This was an excellent hostel. The facilities were incredible clean and comfortable. It is very close to Central Terminal which made travel days much easier. Unfortunately I on stayed here only for two short separate days on both ends of my trip in Sweden. I would have enjoyed relaxing in this hostel for longer. Stockholm is an expensive city, and this hostel is no exception. While it provided the value for the money, it came out to around $30/night. At least the free pasta helps...

Fantastic hostel in a great location. Facilities are great and are super clean. Amazing kitchen. Setup is very community-oriented - I met a ton of great people the two nights that I stayed there, and most importantly, the staff CARES about facilitating friendships and cares about the experience of its guests. Feels like a home away from home. Thanks for a great stay! I'll be sure to be back.

Caters to all travelers, whether seeking privacy or meeting others. The hostel has great activities, esp. for meeting people. I recommend the meatball cooking and sauna tour. Complaints: extra costs to consider when booking (linen, towels, padlocks-not all locks fit lockers), renovation was disruptive and meant non-guests around, and on the pub crawl not everyone was allowed into all spots and the guide made guests buy her drinks. Other staff were great, esp. Lena and Eric. I recommend!

Hi there, it's nice to hear I was one of your favourites! Thanks for the feedback, we are discussing the future of the pub tour right now, so it really helps. By far the trickiest tour to organize in Stockholm, and you have pin pointed the reason: You can't trust the pubs to actually let everyone in. They are very strict, since they can loose their license if they let drunk people in. So the tour guide has a tricky job, to keep people sober enough to get in everywhere. (Unfortunately sometimes guests are already drunk when the tour starts...) But I agree with you, you can't fault the Viking Sauna Tour and the Swedish Meatball Experience - those tours are the bees knees and the cat's pyjamas! Cheers Lena

This hostel was awesome... Really clean, really friendly... we got a group of about 30 of us to go out on the friday although I would recommend steering clear of ostermalm as its super expensive.

I had the best time here! My friend and I spent the night in Stockholm and wanted to meet some new people, so we took advantage of the pub crawl organized by the hostel. It was a lot of fun! I feel like we definitely made the most of our short time in Stockholm.

The hostel is ok but could be much better for the price, the bathrooms are very far and i didnt like the no shoe policy at all, its nasty to go to a wet bathroom on socks, the ambiance is very good its easy to make new friends

Stayed 2 days in a 4-person apartment with three american girls (jackpot lucky), the apartment was reall nice and had a separate and individual bathroom, very convenient to use, as well as a Sauda. After that bI changed to a 6 bed dorm and again, the company was good and the hostel had great facilities, only problem was that in this case the bathroom was one main hall away from the room, and not as convenient to use for a bath. Also, bring your towels, linen and padlocks, they are necessary!

Well, to quote Douglas Adam: "A towel" ... "is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have." ... "any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with." This hostel is awesome! We had a great time! The staff are super friendly and helpful with everything and every question. We had HOT SHOWERS! :) It is in a great location as well. Close to the bus/train station. Easy to navigate, too! Stay here and do Stockholm right!
