The kitchen equipment should be updated. The toaster is very old as are the few oans. there's only one cutting board, which makes it difficult for more people to prepare/ cook e.g. breakfast at the same time. The investments would be very low compared to the added value for the hotel customers.

I really enjoyed my stay at City Centre Budget Hotel. We needed somewhere to stay in the city that was reasonably priced for our backpacking budget and the hotel certainly was worthwhile. The room was a nice size, the beds were comfortable, there was a small fridge, table and chairs which was great and the double glazed windows shut out pretty much all the noise from outside. The location was awesome, right next to a small lane with some great bars.

roof top kitchen facilities were basic and a bit exposed to the cool weather.

A good budget hotel in a great location, rooms included a fridge and TV. The only annoying thing was that some people a few rooms down were smoking with their window open, repeatedly, which caused the extremely loud smoke alarm to go off several times. I suggest the hotel puts up a prominently located sign in every room warning people that they will be fined if caught smoking to reduce this problem.

Some of the bathrooms had mould on the walls and some were really new and clean. It was disappointing that we ran out of toilet paper in one of the bathrooms. The staff were really friendly and co-operative.

Was a great place to stay if you're after somewhere quite to stay without a bar downstairs like many hostels. Great location right next to the free city tram and only a short walk from the main streets of melbourne!
