I have stayed in a lot of hostels over the years and i have to say without a doubt that the Dingle Gate hostel is one of the best, The owner and operator Brian made us feel very welcome the second we arrived, nothing is rushed and we settled in to our private room which was very homely and warm, The nicest hostel bed i've ever slept on, The room had its own onsuite toilet and shower. Brian's hospitality made our weekend very enjoyable, Perfect for Surfers hikers and anyone that wants to getaway

Showers barely heat up, even after waiting a few minutes. Room heating barely worked, luckily the other beds in the room weren't in use so we could take spare blankets. My girlfriend didn't like the spider friends we shared the room with either. No lockers available.

Hey there Chris. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. It was New Year's Eve when you arrived and there was a full house with everyone taking showers at the same time getting ready to go out. The hostel was a bit cold alright but we had been closed for 2 months before that night, I am really sorry about this. Well, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels. All the best Brian

This hostel is very homely and Brian will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable. There is a large kitchen with all the facilities you could possibly need. Lounge with many DVDs and TV with a fireplace that Brian happily lights every night. There is also a games room with pool table, table tennis and more. Would definitely return!

An average hostel.

The guy running this place is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He really tries to make your stay a good one. The place itself is perfect for a good night rest. It's close to a few Dingle landmarks and the price is just right for what you get.
