Everything was alright, except the male staff member that was watching porn infringement of everyone in the common area. Fortunately I was able tomgomto my room and watch t.v. On my iPad.

This place wasn't for me, and I checked out early after my first night. The two things that really make a hostel stay enjoyable are: 1. Other guests and 2. The staff, and sadly these were the two areas this place was lacking. Most guests were families, so there were children/teenagers running around everywhere. Other guests were elderly/retired or younger but studious and with their noses in either a book or their laptop. The atmosphere at times was non-existant. Also note the NO ALCOHOL policy!

Nice place. Free dinner sundays. Free pancake breakfast. Only three bathrooms. I World stay here again.

Free laundry. Extremely clean. Just a little too quiet. Absolutely worth the money.

I cancelled my trip. I tried to call and cancel and the person who answered told me I needed to email them I was charged even though I never stayed there. I do not plan on staying there unless my money is refunded to me

We could understand the "no shoe" policy, however in summer with approx. 90F it is a hardly understandable to have a "no drink in room" policy. For a hostel with 5(?) bedrooms with up to 8 guests pro room there are only three restrooms.

Had a great time. The staff were all very helpful and there was a great atmosphere to meet new people from all over the world.

The staff was always friendly and helpful, which was appreciated. Good location in interesting neighborhood. However, the building was fairly shabby, and conditions cramped. Our room had six beds and should have had four. Floors around the edge of the room behind the beds were matted with dust and dirt. Common room was cramped and hot.

- too many people in one room (no space for luggage, no space to walk) - small kitchen for many people - bathrooms often dirty because no separation of genders and not enough bathrooms for so many people 0 atmosphere only not so good because of other guests + nice common room with netflix + bedrooms very clean + free washing machines

We paid a lot for a 2 bedroom, but the room doesn't lock and no lockers within it. The lockers are available only near the reception and they are very small (you can't put anything but a purse on it). And in our room there was a fire door exit that was used BY THE STAFF to go outside to smoke and the door was always left UNLOCKED when they came back, which means that our room with all our luggage was always vulnerable to be stolen. NO PRIVACY AT ALL!!! Only 3 restrooms for more than 30 people!!!

Very nice staff, good atmosphere but there could be more bathrooms and they could be cleaner. Plan to get up early to get in the waiting line for the rest-/bathroom ;)

Small but cosy hostel near the National Mall. The staff is nice, although that varies a lot. The hostel is like a big family home, so expect little corridors and a "housy" atmosfere. Overall a nice place to stay if you want to be close to the museums and monuments.

I had a great time there, a small and socially active hostel with good facilities. One couldnt' ask for a better location, and the people were great. Besides, what can be wrong with a hostel that has pancakes for breakfast?

This is an excellent hostel it works very well and the location is very good -- but best of all the staff are wonderful and made my stay very comfortable. Peter Mair

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of this hostel and especially the location. I felt safe there, and it is close to Union Station which was perfect for me. The morning pancakes were a nice touch, and the common area was actually very nice. Problems were that there were 3 bathrooms for 26 bed and in the morning this meant waiting up to 45 minutes for access to the bathroom and common area was WAY too hot because the air conditioning could not work when people were used the kitchen.

The place is pretty good but old. It has the potential to be a great hostel. Definitely needs more bathrooms and a bigger fridge. Staff are fantastic and great fun. Super easy to get to places from there and has a huge supermarket only 2 blocks away open 24 hrs with anything you could possibly want which is a big plus for us.

Everything was nice. Only one problem was being crowded. But, it was not big deal. I had super nice time in Washington,DC. If I visit there again, my choice is same place! This explains everything.
