My room was next to the shared toilet/bathroom and people used it during the night so I was difficult to sleep. Also bed was too short and stiff for me.
Some of staff doesn't speak English. Everyone can come up to the floor.
As other places in Sincere House, these are guest houses, not backpacker hostels. Although the man who runs the place is nice, you just don't feel a hostel spirit there. There are nicer places to stay for the same price.
a good hostel especially for site-seeing in the city. you got make sure that when you arrive for the first time you go to the correct office as there are many hostels in this building. rooms where o.k. size good value for money
Good value for money! Mongkut is really central, and the Dragon is as good as it gets in the HK budget hostel category; owner speaks excellent English, whilst the lady receptionist is friendly and efficient. Fridge and hot water. Clean dorms & bathroom. Stayed at another hostel at TST (the infamous and seedy Chung King Mansions) and the dorm there was way more cramped. Forest Hill on HK Island is OK, but neighbourhood is boring. YHA on Mt. Davies has summer mossies and frequent water shortages
This was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. My room had no window, it was like a cell. HK really needs to up its youth hostel scene because whats available right now is really, grim. tiny toilets/shower, nowhere to sit. Just a horrible hostel to end our stay in China/HK.
