We had a twin room, airco and television. But no private bathroom.... That was disappointing because we paid around 60 euro per room per night!!!! A lot of money for this basic room... The showers were good, the breakfast oke ( coffee, cornflakes, fruit, jam and toast). The location is good and the staff is friendly and help you with further traveling. The place is really noisy because people sit in front of the rooms outside to chat and listen to music. Sleep is a challenge!

Great staff, always helpful - lots of daily tours to choose from . Location is nice, near the main squares but also quiet. Two courtyards and bar at night - nothing crazy, but a good place to meet people. Dorms are fine and have AC that gets stronger past midnight, but is turned on earlier than that. Free breakfast in the morning - nice fruits! Would come back. Staff is really quite awesome (thanks guys).

This is a cool place! Lots of activities going on at the hostel, which was fun. Great accommodation by the staff for tours and other things. We stayed in the Annex down the street, which was quieter and smaller. The location is fantastic -- easy to get to nearly anywhere in the surrounding areas. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good time!

Great social place with lots of outdoor space and a fun bar. Staff generally friendly and included breakfast sufficient. AC is comfortable at night. It does turn off during the day, but there's so much to do in Cartagena that there's no reason for you to be in your room during the day. A bit pricey, but would recommend overall.

Very nice hostel. A little more expensive than those I'm used to but good facilities, nice bar area, and little events every night make it a nice stay.

Great hostel, great location. We got a private room(i have no knowledge of the condition the dorms were in) Just down the street in a separate building. Quiet and still had access to the main hostel building. Breakfast consists of cereal/granola, fruit, bread and juice. Staff was very helpful when busy with many travelers checking in/out. Although they try to promote a fun environment with nightly activities there was minimal interaction between guests.

The price tag on this hostel is too steep to reflect what you actually get. AC in dorm worked ok, bathrooms have soap, bar is nice and staff is super helpful. Location is great for touring the old city, but USD20 for a dorm at this hostel was too big a price to ask and we could have spent this type of money elsewhere perhaps for better value.

Great location in the old town. It's a bit pricy compared to other hostels, but it was worth it. Great atmosphere and lots of showers/bathrooms. Really helpful and polite staff.

Good location in the middle of the old Town, friendly staff, sometimes a bit impersonal due to the high number of guests,.-The hostel is professionally run and can be recommended to all seeking an accomodation right in the old Town. Not the cheapest,, but Cartagena is rather expensive for being in Colcombia. Breakfast included a nice bonus!

An okay hostel with a nice location. By the amount of people staying there it seems more like a factory, not much of a personal feel. The staff is friendly but always super busy. After being overbooked (happened twice in Colombia) they placed us in this really rundown hostel (the roof) the first night;quite a dissapointment. The twin room was nice and clean but a bit noisy (can hear people talking till early in the morning).

El Viajero is in a great location in the city walls. Good vibes and great people. Would be nice if they had a pool as the beach is a bit of a trek. Great all around though.

Nice hostel, bit noisy at times during the day but clean and noise stops at a reasonable hour. I was ill whilst I stayed and bed ridden so can't comment too much on the facilities or atmosphere but twin room had a safe and TV and air con and staff were helpful when we needed them. They did turn off the air con one day which was annoying but turned it back on when we asked so assume it's just a cost saving thing therefore won't complain too much!”

A lovely hostel! The staff is amazing, they will know you by name within an hour. Everything is clean and the location is amazing! If you want to do a little city tour through the historical center you just walk outside the door. The only downside to this hostel is that it's quite expensive. But you will get a great hostel for it in return! If you're the type of person who values the hostel they are staying in a lot, this hostel is defenitely worth a visit!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were clean and I received fresh sheets each day. Would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank!

We booked for 4 nights and cancelled after one night after we were wakened by party goers at 1:30 AM and 4 AM. A single room with shared bathroom for over $100 CAD was not worth the agrivation.

I loved it here! Laury and Shatry were the most helpful people I've met in Colombia. I would only stay here in Cartagena. In fact I'll be back next week :) Muchos gracias x
