This hostel is located in the old city and so is in a really tourist-y area, which I actually was so disappointed in. Also, the staff wasn't bad they just weren't really great either. They weren't very talkative or happy, though not rude. Also, not many people talked to each other in general. The atmosphere wasn't very fun or friendly like I had expected. Also, breakfast was minimal at best.
Pros: The hostel is very central. We had a private room which was in another building. It was pretty quiet there. If you want party, you should stay at the main building. Cons: Our room was pretty basic and lacked atmosphere. The TV didn't work properly. Some of the staff were not really friendly and seemed not exactly well informed.
Stayed in private rooms which are in another building- 2mins walk from main hostel. Nice and quiet building, clean rooms/bathroom. Poor value- paid $80 AUD/night for a private room (with AC and TV ) with shared bathroom. Had friends that stayed in other hostels with private room and ensuite for half the price. Excellent location in old town- not the party part of town though. Would probably shop around for better price room when we go back to Colombia.
Some staff were super friendly- others not so much. Great bar and lounge area with hammocks. Met tons of really friendly backpackers. Showers were covered in giant dead ants (or fly ants??) the first day I was there, but seemed to be kept more clean the rest of my stay.
The hostel location is fantastic, it's kept clean and the facilities are good. However I found the staff to be very unhelpful and really seemed like they couldn't care less. They were more interested in playing on their phones than helping with my questions and interacting. After speaking with several backpackers staying there eveyone agreed location and facilities great but the staff very unfriendly and helpful.
Pretty average hostel but met quite a few interesting people
Frontstaff was lazy and unfriendly. Everything else was really good.
Not the friendliest staff, but they are helpful with bookings, and the hostel offers a lot of cool tours. The bar area is nice, but it closes at 12am because of its proximity to the rooms, which is kind of annoying especially if you are having fun making new friends.
Very good atmosphere for solo travelers! Easy to make friends!! Very good location! Rooms are comfortable and the AC really saves you!
great hostel and the air cons are an absolute lifesaver.
The atmosphere is great for meeting new people and the staff is mostly friendly. The rooms themselves are just ok, expected a little more from the private room. Although it's great they had ac. I wouldn't say this is the top hostel I stayed at but it's a good deal and a great location.
Good location. So many people and busy toilettes all the time.
Great location, very comfortable and secure.

Hostel is good but a little shopworn. Some nice staff though😀
Good hostel in a great location. Aircon is an absolute godsend as Cartagena can get pretty hot. Would be a great hostel if it had a pool like the sister hostel in Cali.
Very friendly staff, great location and fun activities. I have already recommended the spot to friends visiting Cartagena.

I miss a pool because cartagena has a very hot weather.
This is a good social / party hostel for young backpackers. It's clean. It's fun. It's worth the money
The hostel is way to expensive for what you get. It's only a gallery with a lot of rooms and a small bar. Nothing wrong with the facilities btw, but I enjoyed my stay at another hostel in Cartagena much more..!
