The hostel os very nice. They have a schedule with activated as salsa classes, game night, etc for almost every day/night. The location is nice too, near Restaurants, market and bars. The private tons are in another building but near but at the same street.

Great hostel, good staff, clean, good atmosphere and the perfect place to meet people. Airco in all the rooms although it may get cold at times. Just ask reception to turn it up. Location is great, it's a safe environment. Cartagena is not that big, so you can walk everything. The hostel has all the information you need and the bar is really nice. If you're travelling solo, this would be a great hostel. No party hostel. After 12 stop playing the music, and you can sleep...

Nothing particularly worth complaining about. Except may be the loud music when you expect to have an early night. But we didn't. Also, the price of the double rooms is a bit expensive considering you're sharing a bathroom withering rest of the dorms. May be you can get better value for money. But it's Cartagena prices anyway. On the plus side: very friendly and helpful front desk staff, AC (a must have in Cartagena), safe in the room, nice kitchen and fridges.

Semi party hostel with activieties at night that make it easy to meet others. Can easily walk around cartagena so location isnt a big issue. Can book trips through them. This isnt against the hostel but just know that on the mud volcano trip you need to bring extra cash (in small bills) for the massagers and cleaners and would have been nice for the staff of the hostel or the tour company to tell us (kind of a rip off by the tour company so try to go by yourself if you can).

breakfast is really good! apparently don't know if they want to be a party hostel or not. intrusively loud music during the evening EVERYWHERE (also reception & pc area), suddenly stops completely before midnight. force you to buy your beer there (not cheap), as they won't allow bringing any alcohol bought at the supermarket.

the staff was useless and more interested in partying than helping guests. the price i paid was higher the price i reserved at. others said the price was raised on them as well

It's a good hostel, but they don't deserve the award for the best hostel in South America. I've stayed in better hostels in South America. I've been on the pub crawl they organize and it was really poor. We where supposed to go to 3 places that night, ending up in a place where there was supposed to be an awesome party. But the guy who took us brought us to the first place, picked up a guy there (he's gay) and left of. So we had no idea where to go and had a very boring night out.

Just a note for travelers. They blast loud music in the courtyard until midnight so if you want to go to sleep earlier than that it is difficult. But otherwise, clean, the AC worked in my room, and the showers and toilets seemed to be cleaned once a day.

Excellent hostel with great staff. They are willing to help out with anything and everything and are very knowledgeable about the city and its people. Hostel had all the right amenities. Special thanks to Alexander for being such a legend!

Lovely hostel close to lots of sights. Low points: multiple hiccups in booking (room not ready, found out 2 days prior to arriving, booking cancelled/no showed despite emails explaining flight cancellation and then having to change rooms due to above mix ups) and loud music to midnight.

This is a fantastic hostel with a great atmosphere right in the heart of Cartagena's old city. People are always lively and I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Cartagena!
