Summary of traveller reviews

Safestay Barcelona Passeig de Gràcia boasts an unbeatable location in Barcelona, perfect for exploring the city. While many praise the friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere, some recent reviews highlight issues with cleanliness and outdated facilities, particularly small and poorly maintained bathrooms. The lack of air conditioning in rooms during hot weather is a recurring concern.

Had the hostel double booked my bed to 3 other people. They all asked me to leave my bed (once at 3 Am). Had the police in my room. One guy sleeping naked with no curtain. One kind receptionist kindly gave me a breakfast pass as compensation. However I lost it before breakfast, when i asked for another one the receptionist was extremely rude and said i needed to buy one (it was meant as compensation for the horrible experience). Was a worm on the floor in the shower. Worst hostel i’ve been in.

The worst hostel I have ever seen in my european journey. I have told them to change bed sheets as they were used and cleaner forgot to change. I have reported to reception and someone noted it but the main problem is no one didn't change bed sheets and midnight receptionist made me change them at the midnight when I came back from party. Entrance card was not working for main entrance and we had to wat almost 20 mins for receptionist come back and open the door. Never again this hostel.

Hostelworld says

Safestay Barcelona Passeig de Gracia is surrounded by the beautiful architecture of Passeig de Gracia, including Gaudi's Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. It's also near Plaza de Catalunya and just 20 minutes on foot from Plaza Reial. Hostelworld travellers tell us the lounge area has a good bar and "is the perfect place to meet people and socialise". We like their free daily walking tours and party tours. The nearest metro station is Passeig de Gracia.
