This hostel was super cute. The only problem is that I got attacked by some kind of bug 3 nights that I slept there. Really itchy red welts all over my arms, neck, and back (over 100) and changing the sheets didn't help. My friend slept in the bed next to me and was perfectly fine though (as were all the other people in our room). Not sure what it was but i hope they figure it out.

Overall, a nice, pleasant and clean place. A 5-minute walk to metro, which is convenient. My room happens to be close to the communal area with pool table. A group of people went in at 01:00 am, turned on loud music, played pool, and talked really loud, which woke me up and kept me awake. I wish that area was closed that time of the day.

My first hostel stay so I don't have a reference point, but it was awesome in any way I can think of. Terrace and common area were especially cool. Breakfast = cereal, bread/spreads, OJ, milk, expresso

The Yellow Nest Hostel is one of the best hostels i've been to. The common areas are awesome to chill with your friends and meet new people. The kitchen is very well equipped too. The staff is very friendly and they can provide you with all the information you need to go out and get to know Barcelona (free walking tours, maps, bike tours, etc.). If you want to party, the hostel organizes a sort of pub crawl which is also a lot of fun. It is very near to a metro station and two supermarkets.

Clean, chill, professional and fun. I’d recommend it highly to a first time traveller. We’d never been backpacking before and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well organized it was. We met some great people and everyone, including the guests, was fun and nice. We had a great experience. Yellow Nest gets our group’s stamp of approval.

A great hostel for ~20 Euro a night, I felt like I got my money's worth. The location is about a 20 minute metro ride from the center of the city so it's not a central location if that's what you're looking for. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. I didn't use it at all, but they also offer a breakfast every morning for 2.50 Euro that includes toasts, juice, coffee, pastries, etc. and it seemed like a pretty good deal.

The staff were helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and overall I really enjoyed my stay there! It isn't located in the center of the city but it was so close to two metro stops so it wasn't a problem in the slightest. I definitely reccommend staying at Yellow Nest.

This hostel was perfect for our short stay in BCN. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful to us, giving us priceless tips on where to visit and where to go out. The dorms were extremely clean, and so were the washrooms and showers! An hostel to recommend to everyone visiting the Barcelona area!

One of the better hostels. Very hip and fun atmosphere. Shower and toilet was clean. Nice terrace area. Nice kitchen to cook food. Loud at night around 11pm, people hanging out. If you were a light sleeper, you might have a hard time. The location is not so close to the center of Barcelona so prepare for metro expenses. It was close to a metro station though. I would come back and also go to their other chain hostels.

A good hostel, close to Camp Nou stadium, but far way from the main atractions. You have to take the metro or walk for 25 min. The place was nice, but the bathroom was not clean and the temperatures of the shower`s water kept oscillating, sometimes it really burns you and suddenly was too cold. There was no salt on the kichen, I had to walk at night, when I`ve arrived, to buy it and make dinner.

dear guest, thank you for your comments, we really sorry about the bathroom, its not a common thing. about the salt, we dont offer any food at all, there is a place in the kitchen for free food that preveious guest left and you can use it, but we never provide food in the hostel. regards

The beds are quite old and one of the upper bed has neither a ladder nor any protective columns. And it was so noisy that we were waken up by noises at 7:00 am. The bathroom was really dirty and the heating system was poor. Most of the staff were nice to us, except that one of the staff was so impatient because he was in a hurry to go home.To conclude, this is the worst hotel during my trip in Spain.

Dear Guest, the ladder that you are saying its now fixed. About the noise its really complicated, usually we dont have problems with the noise, but as you now, there are a lot of guests here and probably one was in a hurry, again, we apologize. We clean the bathroom 3 times per day, probably if was really dirty, someone, during the night did it and the cleaning lady comes at 7 am to clean everything in the hostel. about the staff member that was impatient and wasnt polite, this is not gonna happen again. we really care about aour guests and I will be happy to see you again here and show you that your previous stay dont represent what we offer here. regards Yellow Nest Team

It was a little loud in the 1 room at the reception... But everything else was great... One small minus, people can check-in 24 h, fantastic facility, but poor organized if people sleep in the room.than another people moving-in about 1 or 2 o'clock at night!!!

First things first: if you're looking for a place to rest, get some sleep at night, do NOT stay at this hostel. People coming and going all night long, and talking loud at the corridors - even the staff at the reception (our room was right beside it). I don't think there is a silence policy. Besides that, it is well located, close to subway stations and restaurants. Also, the bathroom was clean and the showers were hot, and the breakfast is a good deal (only 2.50 euro).

Very good place to stay for some days, despite the location a bit far from the city, but the metro is quite close so it's not really a problem. The only thing that bothered us were the groups of young football players shouting and running in the corridors all evening long, and nobody from the staff told them to calm down... But fortunately we had earplugs!

The 12-person rooms felt an awful lot like a barracks, but were otherwise comfortable. The only problem we had is that one night our beds were cleared off as if we had checked out, but nothing was missing except for the towels we had rented, which they were happy to give back to us. And the staff gave very good recommendations for restaurants, that was by far the best apart about this hostel.
