No hot water, in november, not cool.

Richt in the middle of fenghuang, so great location and superfriendly and helpful staff! Little musky and the toilets were ok, but all in all definately recommended!

All in all it is a bad hostel, but I had a good experience. Helpful staff, frequent power cuts, a couple of cockroaches hanging out in the dorm every night and smelly toilet. The location was great, probably the only hostel inside the ancient town! The views from the rooftop are great! I was there in September 2015 and the atmosphere was kind of poor, average of 3-4 guests per night. Anyway, I think thats the best place to stay as the rest are just "fancy" hotels for Chinese tourists.

The hostel was very basic - which is expected for the price. However, the toilets and showers were in desperate need of a clean. The bedding was also unclean. The staff were slightly rude and not very willing to help. Overall, the hostel was fine for simply 'a place to stay'. If you are planning on staying for longer than one or two nights - look elsewhere!

Loved this place and a very friendly owner! The Southern Greater wall is a hidden gem :)

The price was way too expansive for the conditions of the hostel. I have been in other hostels in China that were much much better and some of them were even cheaper. The cleaning was almost unexisting and the bathrooms needed a deeper cleaning. The staff was just ok, but not very willing to help. Overall, it was disapointing.

Great location but the dorm was very small, barely place to put your bag. have to pay for AC. There are some Cockroach. Not always hot water. very hard to find, impossible by yourself. I recommend callig the hostel with a phone's local to ask them to pick you up at the entrance of the old town. You have to walk maybe 10 min from there. The hostel did'nt mentionned it but You have to pay around 150 yuans for 2 days to enter the old town and the hostel is lovated in the old town.

The staff is probably the best staff I've ever had in a hostel. They take care of you and become great friends (:

Nice view from the tiny but not worth it. The place is really dirty, both beds had stains and the walls were decorated with hundreds of mosquitoes, which I added to since there was no the and there a crack in the glass. We spent half the night the things. Also very that they have the to demand 30 rmb to use the air when the room correspond to most nice hotel prices in China . Go to the other instead .

The staff were very nice and helpful. One spoke very good English, and two others spoke enough. The location is very good: near the east gate and Hong Qiao (bridge). It was very clean, with the exception of a cockroach that got onto my bed. Also, they charge 20 kuai a night to use the AC in the dorms.

The staff here is one-of-a-kind. The day that I left Fenghuang it was pouring outside. Luckily I brought a rain jacket with me, but the manager was kind enough to give me an umbrella so I wouldn't be soaked by the rain. This hostel truly cares about their residents and I would HIGHLY recommend this hostel to anyone who is in the area.

Very friendly and helpful staff who speak very good English. Rooms are a bit old and mouldy, but there isn't much in the old town that isn't, and they have made a lot of effort to make them look nice anyway.
