Stayed here before and again had a pleasant stay. The hostel is quite large and located next to the central station. It's a good place if you're staying with a couple of friends. If you're travelling by yourself you might prefer a little smaller hostel.
Conveniently located next to central train station. It is a large hostel that is better for groups than individuals. Very clean rooms and facilities. Awesome wifi!
Such a good hostel! The location si excellent! Just in front of the main station! I hightly recommend this hostel!! :) )
The bathroom was tiny in the 8-bed room, I was hardly able to move in it.
Very good hostel, except by the private bathroom in the room. It´s so small that I almost couldn´t move inside it, and I´m not a big guy... If you don´t mind, you can use the bathrooms in the hallway, which are big and have very good showers. The location of the hostel is very good, close to the main train station and the main bus station. The staff is really helpfull.
I'm quite happy with my stay at Generator. The hostel is very close to the central station(Hbh), and perfect for a one-night stay if you're on a backpacker/interrailtrip. If not, the hostel is only a few minutes walk to the city centre with the great shopping mall Karlstadt. The hostel is big with a releaxed and youth atmosphere with many different nationalities, and a bar where you can buy classic german beer or drinks/wine. Clean rooms, helpfull staff speaking good English.
This hostel is right beside the train station. It is very clean, with a good breakfast buffet in the morning (not free though but very cheap). I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was cosy to say the least. The bathroom in the room was ABSOLUTELY TINY, but you could use a bigger one on the main floor for showering. Wi-fi was excellent. Individual power points and reading lights at all beds was great. There is a bar for socialising, and large common areas if you prefer some peace.
Very secure and safe, needed a card key to get through most doors in the hostel! The area around the hostel isn't the most thrilling and was quite daunting on first impression but it was conveniently close to the train station! The dorm had everything we needed (minus towels). Great atmosphere and met some great people!
Spacious and clean rooms. Restroom was a bit tiny but always clean. The location was ok but a lot of weird people close by made us feel unsafe.
Breakfast is too expensive at €5.50 - other hostels offer far better breakfast for €3.80. No kitchen / fridge services. Having to buy towels and locks for the lockers is taking advantage of people's situation. I've stayed in many hostels on this trip and have been given free towels in more hostels than not.
Super close to the train/ bus station. Really nice facilities, typical big chain hostel.
I think this hostel is pretty good. Especially the location is totally closer to the main station, the staff was so kind. But the bathroom... Is totally small. Except for that, everything is good
Check in was a bit of a mess. Maybe a way that a line could form would help.
I wish it was possible to open the windows properly to air out the room. It got really warm during the night. Other than that I really liked it. The cleanliness was top notch, and the staff was very nice.

Great hostel for the money. But, - My room was facing the train station, and therefore extremely loud throughout the night (aka no sleep). Impossible to close the windows in summer since it was hot. - I requested a mixed room, but was placed with all males. A little weird. - 1 bathrooms on each floor. I woke up early and didn't want to disturb others by showering in our room (on top of that they're small), so I waited outside our floors for 30min before going to another floor.
This is not a hostel, thos is a hotel, really big and everything are high quality!!
I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory-like room. I'd say that it was too small for 6 people to stay in one room. I wouldn't book the room if i knew it should be so narrow and crowded. Also the facilities in the room were too simple and narrow-spaced. The hostel was easy to arrive because it was next to the main station, and in the meantime, the atmosphere in the neighborhood became uneasy in the evening.
Unfortunately there wasn't WIFI in the room.
It was a great opporrtunitie to have the hostel so close to the Central station so I didnt need to walk far with my suitcase or take taxi. Thats definitely one of the best things about this hostel. The location!

Lovely staff, clean rooms, good lockers, just 2 minutes walking from central station (Hauptbahnhof): this hostel is really nice! I wish they had a kitchen, but I was able to order some cheap food (and good!) at the bar! Also, the shower and toilet in the room was really small, but at least they were separated. Would definetely come back there!
