Goodnight Hostel is set in an 18th-century building which Hostelworld guests say 'feels like a big shared house' and is 'surrounded by restaurants'. Our users praise the 'excellent' staff more than anything else, saying they are 'always willing to help'; one visitor said 'everyone was really nice and very helpful with giving advice on how to get to places, where to go and what to do'. Guests have also highly recommended the free walking tour. We like that this hostel not only makes 'delicious, homemade' pancakes for breakfast but that they're also served until noon.

Goodnight Hostel has the best location! Situated in the heart of Lisbon's historical downtown area and close to the best nightlife. With a young and open staff it´s perfect for young travellers. Come to Goodnight and we´ll welcome you with some sangria and free soup.
We have different type of rooms with comfortable beds (attention: our twin rooms have bunk beds), nice bathrooms (each with high-pressure hot showers), two common rooms,, a nice kitchen with cooking equipment, free Internet and Wi-Fi.
Our facilities also include free lockers, free bed linen and … we make the famous pancakes for breakfast :)
Also we prepare for you a lot of events. Check this out:
- Wildwalkers Tour - Tours based on tips through the most traditional areas of Lisbon. Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado everyday
- Conquering the Castle - Tour to the castle of São Jorge
- Traditional Dinner - Dinner at a traditional restaurant next to the amazing Cathedral of Lisbon

I love the street where the hostel is at, near all the attractions, and the fact that it's pedestrian - no cars! It makes it very clean and quiet. We hear from the guests a lot that they like it, too.

Generally, our guests are chilled students and people already in the job market; it's what we're best prepared for. But we appreciate variety; we encourage families with children or babies, and 40+, too.
We alternate between wine tasting, meals, and food tasting in the hostel...There's also an organ, guitar, and a beautiful movie room for those who want to relax. It's not a 'crazy' party hostel at all - our fun comes from a healthy atmosphere of interaction, laughter, and excellent conversations that occur naturally because all the details of a good hostel are coming together.
I usually send our guests to the old area of the Alfama neighbourhood. It's got our 'secret' church; it's amazingly beautiful and particular. Travellers are tired of churches sometimes and don't go into all of them, but the one we recommend amazes them.Hostelworld Guests Say
Absolutely wonderful hostel! Perfect location, clean, good breakfast, great staff and nice rooms. We arrived at 6:00 am after an overnight bus and they gave us breakfast and beds right away - even though it was another 5 hours until checkin. Great lounge area to socialize with other travelers and sangria every night really made the hostel stand above others. Good lockers in the rooms and also good internet. Very friendly and committed staff - would definitely stay there again.
