I had a brilliant time at Guesthouse Tennoji, even though there weren't many other people staying at that time. The house is really cosy and comfortable, with a great kitchen, and the location is ideal. Tennoji station is just up the road and there are some great little restaurants and bars (and takoyaki shops!!) within a five minute walk. I'l definitely be going back :)

This was one of the cleanest, newest hostels I've ever stayed in. The bathrooms were great and the beds were comfortable. If you are looking for a party atmosphere this place isn't for you but it's great if you're looking for a relaxing, quiet hostel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Guesthouse Tennoji. The owner was very helpful showing us where everything was and how to use things. He even got the room ready early so we could sleep after a long days travelling. It was very clean, and had a nice common room area with a computer with internet access. There was also wifi and the Guesthouse was very near to Tennoji station and convenience stores etc. It had a nice atmosphere as it is a smaller hostel/guesthouse so there was not too many people.

This guesthouse was so much more than I expected. The staff was extremely friendly, and the location really close to both the Tennoji station and Shintennoji Temple. The facility was clean and cozy and secured with a digital number locked gate. Inside, you had access to the internet and a kitchen (free coffee!) and there were separate bathing facilities for men and women which I really appreciated. It was really a great experience. The best I've had in Japan thus far. Highly recommended.

Nice place to stay. Has a small living room with laptops and a kitchen with a table. Bathrooms and showers are sufficient. Clean place. Would go again.

very friendly and comfortable place to stay, super friendly staff and clean facility. We must say, this is the best hostel we've stayed while in japan! The location is very convenient too, 3 min walk to Tennoji station. the owner is lovely and even invited us for a drink! Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Pleasant stay in this house on a very quiet street. Staff is really kind and helpful. Very clean house and nice little common room - tatami style. It is only a few minutes walk from Tennoji Station.

It's not a partylike hostel, but if you want a very calm and super clean place, Guesthouse Tennoji will be a perfect choice! :)
