About

'Honestly, my favorite hostel in the world.
Just stayed there for the 3rd time, atmosphere is amazing, very friendly staff,
the hostel is close enough to city center but not in it,
so you'll get the vibe of a really cool quiet japanese neighborhood.
The building is a very clean Japanese style building with a lot of art and cool decoration.
Over all, if you're visiting Osaka you have to stay in Air Osaka hostel.' - A guest

Summary of traveller reviews

Air Osaka Hostel offers a welcoming and social atmosphere, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who make guests feel at home. Its unique, artistic vibe and comfortable common areas are highlights. Located in a quieter, artsy district, it's close to a metro station for easy access to the city centre. Some guests noted thin walls and limited storage space in rooms.

This hostel is an absolute must if you want to experience Osaka without the busy and overly touristy atmosphere! This beautiful and authentic hostel is located in an amazing artsy neighborhood, filled with lovely cafés, local onsens, and plenty of delicious food. Upon arrival, we were given a map of the local area, which helped us discover some wonderful places that we probably would never have found on our own! On top of that, you also get a drink voucher at check-in, which can be redeemed at

In summer it was extremely hot in the corridors and sometimes stinky. Also zero other guests so that was not the social vibe I was expecting

I had an amazing time staying at this hostel! So much so that I extended my trip 5 times I believe. Tomo, the manager, is a living legend! He's travelled all over the world, he knows Osaka like the back of his hand, has perfect English and seems to treat his staff amazingly! There are maybe 8 free to use guitars on the wall, a ton of other instruments, it's near the metro, there's a fully stocked kitchen, I met some great guests, the temperature is perfect in there, it's arty and super clean! ❤️
