although most of the staff can't speak english but they are all very nice and helped us a lot. Good overnight stop if you have an early flight out of Turkey as there is an inexpensive bus service to the aiport very near. Room was small and basic; ensuite facility good;plenty of hot water.View poor into dingy inner area, but consequently quiet at night. Hostel is close to the Konak area where all the little shops/businesses/alleyways etc are.

Best apsect of this hotel was the helpful receptionists. When I needed to buy something I was personally escorted to the nearest and cheapest shop to buy it. Also, unlike the Second Home Hostel in Istanbul, they didn't rip me off over the bill with the exchange rate of the Turkish Lira to the British Pound.Best apsect of this hotel was the helpful receptionists. I liked this hotel. As everyone says, the staff don't speak good english. but we could communicate well enough each other. My friend stayed at Hilton Izmir and had to pay for wifi-srvice. I did not pay panny here!:-)I will go back there if I have a chance to visit Izmir again. I liked this hotel. The staff can't speak english or german, but the (very nice) manager do. The rooms are clean and the air con is working. Be careful while taking the elevator because we got stuck in it when we were leaving the hotel, but the staff let us out very soon. All in all it is a really nice place to stay.
