Shantihome Hostel Izmir

Hello from SHANTI family to all travellers around the world. We know travelling is not only discovering new places, cultures, foods etc but also a magical way to discovering ourselves. Shantihome is the first hostel of Izmir which aims to provide a 'shanti' (peaceful) and warm staying especially for travellers from different parts of the world. Our objective is making our guests feel at their home away from home. We are exactly in the center of İzmir. All public transportation stations are just 2 min.away from Shantihome. You can reach all cafes,pubs,supermarkets and public areas by walking in 3 min. Moreover, we are 3 min.away from the seaside and ferry station. You can walk to all worth seeing places in İzmir.

*** Our reception is open between 08.00-00.00. We can accept check-in until midnight. If you want to check-in after midnight, please make us know and one of the staff will wait for you. We charge 200tl for late check-ins.
***We have washing machine for laundry and it is available for our guests between 18.00- 22.00. We charge 300 tl for laundry service. After washing your clothes, you can hang them to our rooftop.
***We have free WI-FI service and soft Turkish breakfast (fresh veggies, olives,cheese, egg, honey,tahini,jams) in the morning between 09.00a.m-10.30a.m.
***Our kitchen is open for our guests. We have a fully equipped kitchen, everybody can cook but we have a rule that, our kitchen is VEGETARIAN, no cook meat or meat stuff please.
*** We have Shanti Cafe in our ground floor. You can order your coffee, snacks during the day. Also, we have some alternative breakfast options like sandwich, toast, omlette, healthy bowl, fruit bowl.etc.
***Our rooftop is open everyday. It is very cozy, natural and calm with a big tree that makes natural shadow area for us in every hour of the day. We also have a small garden with our trees and plants.
***Smoking is not allowed in the building, you can use our balcony, garden or rooftop for smoking.
***Shantihome is a pet-friendly hostel and you can accomodate with your dog,cat or any other.



*** There is direct train from Airport to Alsancak train station. You can reach in 5 min. from Alsancak station to Shantihome.

***If you are coming from Selçuk/Ephesus by train you should switch to the IZBAN line at the Airport station. By this way you can get to the Alsancak station which is just 5 minutes by walk to the hostel. If you don't switch the line you will get to the Basmane station which is 20 min. of walk to the hostel.

***Important note: PLEASE confirm your reservation at least a day before your arrival, and please inform us by email of any late or early check in times. Shantihome gets very full during the high season, and we want to make room for everyone.

***Important note: We have no lockers because we choose not to have any. We would like a place with trust. From our experience, a place with lockers doesn't give a more secure atmosphere, on the contrary creates a feeling of stealing and gives an unnatural value to things.
***We accept payment only in cash in TL (Turkish lira).
